Customers say

Customers find the shovel spade easy to use and effective for scooping up poop. It works well even in deeper grass and picks up hardened poop easily. Many find it much easier than using a heavy shovel to carry across their property. However, some customers are disappointed with the plastic material and functionality. Opinions vary on its sturdiness, value for money, and size.

Quite nice. Sore-ish back. Very performant. 🤷‍♂️ I like!
TLDR; not perfect but I would get it again eval.. as long as you get this claw for about $20-25 bucks then it’s worth it compared to the other shtuff. IMHOThe Claw does a great job when picking DRY and Solid nuggets. The Claw is not adjustable other than the ability to fold in half for storage. As for it’s versatility. The Claw mostly fails with anything loose or small because it is point to point closed rather than interlocking. Although, the closing force is enough to pick heavier objects with precision. In other words -not a toy!It is very light in weight but just too short to be comfortable for me. I am tall 6’3″/74cm but I had to stoop down a bit. The actuator to open the claw is about 4ish inches below my piano keys.62cm actuator and 68cm top/ middle knuckle is just above the knee for me. It’s quite a bend.If only used a couple times per week then this would be acceptable.Based on size it may be best suited for older kiddos or average height adults. The hand strength required to open the claw is nominal to most grabber products. As I said the value of this is great, assuming 20ish-bucks.(The worst part for me was the sticker on one claw that is a paper sticker and not a static plastic one) Come on A&H! Grrr—–

    Got geese? You’ll love this
Just the ticket if you have a Canada goose problem. Those blasted things can really lay down the you-know-what, and I quickly got tired of trying to pick it up by hand. This gizmo has a nice long handle for tall folks like myself, and the jaws work perfectly–picking the stuff up while sifting the sand out through the teeth on the bottom, a good design. A flock of geese produce a lot more waste than a dog or two which means it gets heavy usage. Having said that, it remains to be seen how long this thing will last–but when it breaks I’ll definitely get another.

Disappointed! Didn’t hold up to daily use. Plastic became brittle and broke bit by bit
Review Edit 8/8/20Broken! After continuous daily use this product is dead. It has now completely fallen apart. I did attempt to fix it many times but I give up. If your pet poos daily go with another company.Review Edit 5/24/20- Scooper is lightweight & appears flimsy but is actually quite mighty & holding up nicely in an animal enclosure. Oiled the squeaky part & that noise went away but it’s still unnecessarily loud on the close. Maybe company can add a rubber or silicone barrier to the jaws/edging of scooper to cushion the snapping sound. Pull Lever/Handle is Made of hard plastic & is pretty uncomfortable, so a softer pull handle would be very helpful.First Review- This scooper isn’t as strong as I thought it would be ie: The material is kind of flimsy. However, it does work & I don’t have to bend over to scoop anymore. It is withstanding a lot of use so maybe the fact that it is very light weight makes me think it is not as strong as it actually is.There’s one thing that I can’t wrap my mind around though…Something I thought I would never say… “my pooper scooper is so loud!” Yup! Using in a quiet area & this scooper makes a squeaking noise when I press the lever to open the mouth/scoop. Then as I close the mouth it makes a very loud snapping sound which announces my poop scooping duty (lol). Just something to think about if you don’t want your neighbors to look in your direction every time you’re cleaning up after your animals 💩

Awesome. Saves my back, saves on bags, saves…me from picking up poop with my hand.
LONG STORY SHORT:We bought a house with a .6 acre lot about a year ago. We used to live in downtown Atlanta without a yard, so every time we walked our Golden Retriever and Shiba Inu we had to break out the poop bags and carry it home. When we bought the house, I purchased this bad boy to pick up yard poop, and I’m so glad I did.PROS:-LARGE scooper. Can pick up multiples at one time.-Easy and intuitive grip action.-Foldable.-Durable. We leave it outside 24/7 and it’s held up great over the last year. Basically brand new.CONS:-none. No one wants to grab poop with their hand, even if it’s trough a plastic bag.CONCLUSION:10/10 would recommend.

    Didn’t even last a week
I like the idea of claw-grip scoopers so you can do them one handed, but this one isn’t it. Out of the box it was plastic and felt cheaply made and of mediocre quality. It took about 3 days for me to have to press the pull trigger back down to get it to close and about 5 days for the spring tensioner to start catching and preventing the jaws from closing all the way. Get yourself a good aluminum rake and shovel and call it done.

Same design weakness as similarly-designed scoopers
This is our fourth claw-style scooper – they have all failed in similar fashion after a few months, and I immediately noticed this one has the same weak point as the others: In the mechanism that retracts the claws when you squeeze the handle, the point of attachment on each of the two claw halves is made of much thinner plastic than the rest of the mechanism. That design allows the parts to not interfere with one another, but it is a weak point that will break with use. This Arm and Hammer product is a bit smaller and more lightly built than our last scooper, but that is reflected in an appropriately lower price point. It works about as well as our previous ones, with one exception – the teeth of each claw half meet point-to-point rather than meshing. The small gaps that leaves makes more difference that I would expect. A meshed-teeth design would improve this product. We really like claw-style scoopers but will either need to find a more robust model/brand or accept them as disposable items that will last no more than a few months.

    Tough
This is the only scooper that has not broken in many months of use with 3 large dogs to clean up after. Works great on high or low grasses too.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and is not too heavy, but of sufficient construction to hold up if taken care of.

Je cherchais une pelle en métal car les autres modèlent cassent habituellement. J’ai donc choisi cette pelle en sois disant métal , à un prix beaucoup plus élevé, mais elle est en plastique comme les autres. Retour à l’expéditeur
