Great price, great product
I bought two shepherd’s hooks from the local big box store to hold birdfeeders in my backyard. Between the weight of the full feeders, the birds and, of course, the squirrels, the hooks immediately started leaning like the boat’s mast in the last scenes of Jaws. I tried moving them to harder ground and I tried shoring them up with bricks. Nothing worked for long. I decided to give shepherd’s hooks one last chance and bought two from Artibear. The price was persuasive – half what I’d paid for the ones from the big box store – and I figured I could always use them to hold hummingbird feeders or Halloween bats if they turned out to be as flimsy as the ones I already had.The Artibear hooks arrived the day after I ordered them. They come in sections that you can screw together easily to make the hook as tall or as short as you want it to be. The connections are solid and the metal the pieces are made from is also thick and solid. Instead of two prongs holding the hooks in the ground, the Artibear hooks have 5 – 1 at each corner of the anchor and a thicker and longer central stabilizing spike. Long story short, I put them up and they’re doing exactly what I wanted them to do. No leaning – regardless of how many squirrels hang from the feeder and regardless of whether the ground is dry or wet. I really recommend them. Don’t waste your time and money on the more expensive inferior garden center hooks. Artibear offers a great product at a great price.

We were gifted a huge wind chime from a warehouse club. It is very heavy and too tall for our trees. We searched everywhere for a hook this tall and failed until we looked on Amazon. This hook is VERY sturdy, easy to assemble, and even under the weight of this huge wind chime it isnât bowing. We may buy another for a solid wood bird feeder we have. Great but. Ten out of ten. Would hook again.

I needed to get my bird feeder out of reach of the cats and so far it is doing the job. It was easy to assemble and press into the ground and stands nice and upright. Very happy with my purchase.

I bought the 92″ version. The actual total length is 91″. From the tip of the stake to the bottom of the horizontal cross piece is 8.5″. From the top of the arch to the bottom of the hook is 8.75″. If the stakes are driven all the way into the ground, the height of the bottom of the hook is about 74″. Then you must take into account the total height of whatever you are hanging, including attachment hooks, ant moats or rain covers. So measure carefully when deciding which length to get. I did and went with the 92″ version, and the height came out just right.The tubing is a nice thick size but I don’t know the thickness of the tubing walls, which will affect strength. All sections screwed together easily and securely, and it looks nice when put into place.The finish is flawless. It’s likely a good idea to take it down over winter to keep it from weathering. If it starts to rust, I’ll just clean it up and spot paint it.I got this specifically to hang a 24 oz Hummingbird feeder from. It is easily strong enough to support the feeder and then some, but I would not expect it to support a hanging plant. I don’t think that would work too well. Certainly, the taller the version the more risk of bending there will be.Improvements would be a more robust version for hanging plants (larger diameter tubing, thicker tubing walls), especially for the tall versions, and side stakes that extend out further to increase lateral stability.I think this will work well for my use, and at least initially, it’s looking like a good purchase.

Sturdy, Stable, Well Made and Attractively Finished
We live on a fresh water river and bugs are an issue. What does that have to do with this Artibear Adjustable Outdoor Shepherd Hook Stand? I’ll tell you. We needed a Shepherd Hook which could hold our powered mosquito and insect trap, which just happens to weigh 11 pounds. I can’t tell you how many hooks I checked to see if they could handle that much weight and very few could.This one not only can, but it’s really well made, easy to put together, very sturdy and looks quite nice. It’s up to 60 inches tall, but can be adjusted lower if you don’t need it that tall by removing sections. And with the five prongs at the base, its very stable. To add more stability, we dug down a little bit and packed soil on the top and it’s REALLY REALLY stable. It’s finished in a powder coated shiny black finish which is very attractive.If you have anything hefty you need to hang on a Shepherd Hook, this is the one for you. It can hold up to 14 pounds. I would buy this again if we ever need another one.
