Easy to put together. Instant win.
My new cat loves it! Could barely get it out of the box and put it together before she was all over it.She’s a scratcher but has also enjoyed the plush cactus arms on the sides too. They are good for rubbing on.Putting it together was easy. It doesn’t smell odd. Packaged well and had all its parts. The base seems a little low quality, but only time will tell how stable it really is.

    Cute, but not built well
My cats love this scratching post. It’s super cute and I love seeing them use it. However, I can’t give it 5 stars because the base of the scratching post is poorly constructed. It now tilts over and I have to fix it frequently

    Fun, sturdy post
I got this for my kitten. Regular scratching posts are so boring. This carrot is bright and fun and a good size . It’s pretty sturdy. My kitten has climbed on top to launch herself over a barrier before. My larger cat likes it as well – he’s very long and his stomach is about on the floor when he uses it, but that doesn’t stop him. (If I buy a post for him, I look for extra tall ones, so it’s not like this post is short). I would recommend.

    Not a good design
Looks good online, looks good when it first gets set up. After one day use by by cat the rope started to separate and stretching. I’m thinking for the money there should be better quality. After I write this review I’m sending it back.

    Not what I expected
It was easy to assemble, but somehow it got broken within a month of barely being used. Something was wrong with the attachment to the floor. I’m giving three stars, because the carrot looks fun and my foster kittens were still able to play with it. The cats I bought it for were not impressed, it’s smaller than what I thought (which is not seller’s fault, I could have used measuring tape), and it is not sturdy at all. It tips over if a cat bigger than 6 week old kitten is trying to use it. It’s cute tho!

Cats love it, but poor quality
The cats love it, and I don’t mind that they destroy it – after all, that’s what a cat scratcher is for. But this one suffers from poor build quality and poor choice of materials. The bottom construction, with two halves (to save on shipping space), comes apart easily. I solved this by adding two metal brackets to keep the halves together. That worked well but the screw that keeps the carrot attached to the base still ends up coming loose and the carrot gets a bit wobbly. But the bigger issue is, once the layers of rope get detached, the styrofoam below is exposed. Now the cats get styrofoam all over (including on their head, as in the case here), as well as around your house. And hopefully the kitties don’t eat any. The photos here were taken one month after the cats started using it.Overall, the cute look doesn’t make up for the poor build quality.

I’m actually quite impressed with how sturdy it is. The cats enjoy it which is the main thing. It looks really cute in our living room. I guess we’ll see how long the Rope lasts on it.

This is such a cute scratching post! Emerson and Phoebe hug it frequently, although the twitching tails could mean that they’re either mildly annoyed or excited about it! Oh, and they scratch it…many times a day. We all love it. For different reasons.

Cute scratch post!! Though I’d recommend it for a larger cat. I have an adult cat that’s on the smaller side (under 4kg), and she has a hard time scratching it because the post moves when she scratches. We ended up putting a 2kg dumbbell to anchor the post and prevent it from moving.

I really loved this scratching post. It is aesthetically pleasing in my home and my cat really loves it.We noticed that the cactus was leaning to the side within a couple of days of receiving it. Within a few hours of that it had completely fallen apart. The problem is that the inside is a cardboard sleeve placed over a plastic tube. There is no product out there that I can find that will adhere well to cardboard. It doesn’t matter how many times I re-glued and re-siliconed this together, it just keeps falling apart because the cardboard rips on the inside of the tube . It’s disappointing. I wish that they would use a better material for the inside of this product because it is such a cute cat toy.
