I have been through so many ice cream scoopers over the years and could never find one that was just right. They’re usually the ones that you squeeze and they would do the job but they would never last. My mother-in-law has a very old copper one that doesn’t have all the mechanics and whenever we go to her house and have ice cream I always think it’s the best type and wished I could find one. So I started searching and since it was old and an antique I couldn’t find one like it. So I went to my always go to trusted Amazon. And I’m glad I did because I found this one .I figured it would be a lot better than all the ones that break because of the spring or whatever would go wrong with them. So after reading all the reviews and going through tons of them in my basket to go over again and review myself and it being a little more expensive than I thought I wanted to spend it’s was well worth it. It’s the best ice cream scoop I’ve ever used. Very sturdy looks like it will last for years , but not too heavy to handle. It’s just perfect. One thing that was very important to me when I was reading the reviews was getting 100% stainless steel. After reading so many reviews of some that I thought were prettier with a cool colored handle or something that I would really like I saw that they were Chrome plated and the Chrome chipped off or become pitted and I definitely didn’t want that. That’s why I decided to spend a little more than some that I saw for very cheap that were prettier and I’m very very pleased that I ended up with this one. It actually looks like and old retro one they would maybe use in an old timey ice cream parlor. I think that’s why I was looking at some of the ones with the Retro colored handles but sometimes that draws us in when were looking for something old-fashioned. But they’re usually not made as well as things from the old days when people really cared about the quality of their work. This one is definitely made well. I highly recommended it especially if you’re trying to find a good quality one this is is the one. Go for it you won’t regret it when you scoop that first scoop!😋

Best ice cream scoop ever!
This thing is solid, not some silver painted plastic junk that starts flaking off after normal use like you find everywhere else. It is metal through and through with the exception of the handle. The scoop is very efficient and effective, and the handle is easy to grip. It glides through ice cream, and the weight of the real metal helps add a little extra oomph to keep it moving. 100% would recommend!

I boiled some water and put it in a metal jug, removed the hard NON-soft-scoop ice cream from the freezer. After leaving the scoop in the hot water for 15 seconds it was put to test on the ice cream. It made no more impression on the stuff than if I had used a cold tablespoon. Yes, it went in about a centimetre, then stopped. Even placing a lot of pressure on it did not work. The scoop itself still felt moderately hot …and in theory it should have worked. Another 2 repeated attempts fared no better. I was drawn to the beaked shape of the scoop, thinking that it would sink down in and give some decent leverage, at least, even though it may not `ball’. But no, not in this case. My favourite shop-bought ice cream remained stubbornly in it’s 1 litre tub. 10 minutes out on the worktop is usually enough to get it to be more malleable…but I didn’t try this scoop again, out of principle, as it had failed it’s NO THAW claim. If things don’t live up to their claims, they go back! Simplez!

Amazing, solid, so easy to use. I now eat too much icecream because this super easy to use and fill my bowl.
