Good at smoothing out the “convertible couch feel”
We wound up with a nice sturdy little convertible couch, thinking we’d need to add softness. It’s very solid, and fine for a couple of friends with a movie. But we couldn’t offer anyone a bed this way, and what if we want to bingewatch something ourselves? I like something to sprawl on.My first attempt was folding an old comforter and seeing how that went. It was thick, but lumpy. It did allow for more comfortable sitting and lying down. So this was my next thought, and it’s much better. I can push down on the pillow part, and feel the cushiony part of it all the way down. It won’t completely flatten, and that’s what was needed.Experimental lying down was an improvement too, as the overall smoothing effect worked on all the parts, except where the backrests folded up or down. This dip was not as noticable with the lumpy comforter, but it was now. But rolling up an unneeded flat sheet to fill the dip, then put the pillowtop on, worked. The smoothing effect could take place. This makes me think it could work for all kinds of issues convertible issues, too. From overly firm to feeling too much of what holds it together. It has a skirt which would fasten fine on a bed, and stays in place even partly utilized on something like a couch/bed.I’d say if you wanted to use the couch part, and don’t find it uncomfortable, I’d still try it as a bed for a few hours. Watch or read something, before offering it to a guest. They could wake up a few hours later, miserable, and unable to do anything about it. Plan on something like this that sits in a drawer with the bedding, and will be ready for action.Since I use this couch mostly as a daybed, with a cover over it, adding this pillowtop makes it more comfortable for all kinds of lounging.

SUPRISINGLY HELPFUL
Arrived in great packaging, but I was a bit concerned because I thought it was going to be fluffier than it was, however I have a firm mattress and was looking for a little added softness, my husband loves the firmness of our mattress, but my back is not so happy with it. When looking at the reviews I thought I’d start out with something not so expensive and if I wasn’t happy then I’d work my way up. This truly is doing the job. I have not been waking up with a sore back since I began using it. It is soft, but it definitely isn’t like a thick memory foam cover, it’s just a bit of softness added. Right now, it’s working just fine, and for the money it is great. I wanted to get the grey one, but it’s at an extra charge. So, I went with the white one, and I really like it. Nice design, and it fits great over my mattress.

Canât get out of bed
This is a wonderful addition to the bed. I may not get out until spring. So grateful for it and now I look forward to bed the moment I wake up.

Warm!
Does add a bit of cushion to a firm mattress but at the cost of retaining a lot of heat. If you are a warm sleeper this may not be for you. Fits fine/slightly big on a queen size mattress of about 12″.

Heavenly
This works great. So soft and does not cause excess heat to build up. Cool to touch. Recommended.

The best topper for the price.
I had bought a new memory foam mattress last year online and unfortunately that meant I wasn’t able to try it out before purchasing. I ended up with a mattress a little firmer than I intended on getting and so I tried this topper out. After comparing to several others including one from walmart that my sister uses I found that for the price there wasn’t a better one. Sure there are better ones, but not for $40. Severely improved my sleep comfort! Just bare in mind that you still need at least a decent mattress, this is just a topper. Those saying it’s not enough what are you on, a wood base? If you have a horrible mattress maybe consider spending more on a topper in the 70+ range but that’s almost double the price so I’ll stick with this one.
