Lasts a very long time
My minidoodle loves this chew. Although it is big for him (he is 30 pounds) he chews on it daily. It is now more like a V bone instead of a Y bone. But he is an aggressive chewer and has had it for at least a month.

We have a 14 year old pup. While she still has the ability to be a bit of a power chewer, now that she’s a mature puppy, she seems to prefer the gentle chewing bones. She loves it!

65 lb. labradoodle loves “puppy” vs. adult version
The “Puppy” version of the Benebone is a little softer than the adult version, only comes in one flavor (bacon), and only Small & Medium sizes (not Large & Giant also). Otherwise the same. That said, once our labradoodle closed in on full size at a year old, we gave him the adult version, but then switched back because he clearly prefers the Puppy version. It’s not the taste, it’s the “gnaw-ability”. He can actually gnaw down one of the arms over a month or two on the Puppy version, whereas the adult version is tougher and stays pretty intact. But that’s what he likes – feeling he’s actually chewing into it a little and making some progress. A lot of the gnawed particles get swallowed in the process but they come off in tiny bits and are nylon, so no problem (and what do you think happens with all those bits from a real bone anyway)? Anyway, he has ropes and balls and you-name-it he could chew on, but when he wants to kill some solo time, he just grabs his Benebone and gnaws for a while. No mess, no stink. Benebone instructions say to replace when the round end is barely gnawed, but we let him have at it until one of the arms gets gnawed down towards the center where one of the arms might break off and then give him a new one, if only so he gets that Y shape back that’s easy to hold. However, if your dog goes through the Puppy version like a buzz-saw in a couple days, or risks biting a big arm chunk right off instead of gnawing, the adult version is probably called for. Premier product, along with ChuckIt Flying Squirrel and Ultra Balls, Flexi Retractable Leash, and any really thick but plain knotted rope for tug (i.e., without anything he can chew off). And Milk Bones.

Looks safe for my pups new teeth
Just10 minutes after he got it. My puppy is 8 months old, and I bought an adult version before but found that his front teeth lost some scraps after one month. So I decided to change it to the puppy version. It feels still hard but seems at least will not harm his teeth.

Boxer puppy hasn’t chewed through it yet
Our puppy loves to chew on this as well as chase after it. She gets it during the day but not in her crate at night. It’s suppose to be safe but I just don’t trust her yet. She had had it 2 mo and can barely tell she’s chewed on it but we see her with it all the time. So this is going to last her a long time. Money well spent

My Golden/Lab mix loves it!
I brought this for my lab mix puppy probably when he was around 5 months and he still loves it now at 7-8 months. I nickname my pup Godzilla because heâll destroy anything and heâs capable of chewing bones, bully sticks and anything long lasting in minutes. This product is really hard, Iâm not sure how good that it is for them, but he loves to chew on it and it really helped when he was teething and losing those back teeth. I brought a large size and it is big and safe for him to chew on and still going strong.

Our puppy has been chewing on this for 2 months and it is still in one piece unlike most other things! Yes it’s going soft round the edges but is not breaking up, we will take it away when it does but feel we have had good value already.
