Very useful
I bought this a couple times for my preschool kids. It is an insulated container perfect for school lunches. I only pack hot lunches and these containers kept their food warm until it was time to eat. It is a good size and quality container. If it keeps food warm it will also keeps them cold. It is leak proof and easy to clean. It came with a retractable fork and spoon in a suction slot on top of the container. I would highly recommend buying

Functionality
Works well, keeps item warm not hot. Larger in person than in the pictures. The snack compartment is small and even smaller if you have the utensils in there

Not as expected
The material was nice. I gave it 4 stars because it didn’t keep my cold item cold as expected. My food was mushy and thawed within minutes. I havent tried anything hot, hope it better.

Nice size
My daughter likes this for school lunch. I can put macaroni and cheese, rice or any hot food. She says her food is still pretty hot when she eats it about 6 hours after I make it. The size is perfect too.

Get it!
Product Review: Initial ThoughtsThe product’s packaging and design exceed expectations. The retractable utensils demonstrate impressive sturdiness. A size comparison photo is included for reference.Update it does keep the food warm ðI look forward to assessing its heat retention capabilities, despite some reservations based on mixed reviews. A follow-up update will be provided shortly.

Bento Bowl
July 21, 2024 update. I was refunded a new item, which was delivered within a day of their customer service department contacting me. Thank you. Excellent service. I was not required to change my review in order to get the item.A section by the area where the lid screws on broke. It kept food warm.

I really wanted to like this bowl
This bowl is really cute and comes in nice colors. The description of keeping foods warm for hours was promising. I needed a new set of breakfast and lunch containers so I gave Bentgo a try. Here is what I discovered:1. Nowhere in the description does it mention microwave safe. I read the questions asked by consumers and there was one that said they microwave it and have not had a problem. I was worried there might be some metal in the insulation so I emailed the company and their response was No, it should definitely not be microwaved. Its designed to keep foods warm only. This is understandable and in no way was it false advertising, but I wish there had been a mention of this on the website before I bought it.2. The seal is ineffective. I put cold stew in with the intent to warm it at work in a safe bowl, however the seal on the inner lid did not keep liquids in. I had about 1/4 cup of soup in the bottom of my lunch container when I got to work. On another occasion I put warm oatmeal in the bowl with the intent to eat it at work for breakfast. On the way I heard a pop from my bag. An hour later when I had time to get to my oatmeal I noticed the inner lid was what had popped. My oatmeal was no longer warm as the seal had released. The steam valve had been closed. I tried it one more time with the steam valve open, but that only ended up unscrewing the top on its own. Then another pop when the inner lid unsealed itself. This was oatmeal so it wasn’t especially hot when I put it in.3. The cute design is actually a flaw (for me at least). The super smooth plastic, especially if my hands are cold (they normally are), make it difficult to grip the bowl. Maybe my hands are too small? The bowl just slides around in my hands unless I hook my finger on the edge and chance sticking it in my food. The screw top is nearly impossible to unscrew with cold hands, also. I had to grasp the bowl with my knees and use both hands on the smooth curve of the top.I have a few other containers from Bentgo that have worked as intended. Its just this bowl that I had problems with.

What I hoped for!
I was looking for something leak proof that I could take to work with soup, salad, or steamed veggies in. I couldn’t be more thrilled. After reading reviews I was a little wary, so when I got it I opened it up and put it through a few tests.I love the design, the top compartment feels air tight. The fork and spoon expand. The inside of the bowl will fit about the same as a ramen bowl or an (American) cereal bowl. The lid screwed off easily and on tightly. The vent is easy and seems like it will work well to keep liquids inside. Additionally, it says it comes with a warranty.I’m very happy about this.I did read in other reviews that it maybe isn’t as dishwasher safe as people were led to believe. About that one, I’m unsure, as we hand wash everything.Overall, I’m very pleased, and will update this review in a couple of weeks, once I’ve tested the temperature retention.

This ball is perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. Feels like good quality silicone. Iâm going to be using it for my yoghurt with berries, and I love the separate compartment to put other stuff.

Very disappointed as I bought this for hot lunches while I am at dialysis. I put in boiling soups and it is lukewarm after 3 hours. Great for salads I guess. Stick with Thermos brand.
