Works perfect without breaking the bank
I really like the PetSafe SSSCat deterrent device for teaching my cats to stay off certain things (countertops, etc). However, the “name brand” spray can refills are ridiculously expensive for what they are. Enter the Berkland refills. These fit the actual sensor/”sprayer” device perfectly, and are MUCH more wallet-friendly. They don’t seem to be any different, really, than the original manufacturer ones, beyond the labeling and the price. Would definitely recommend these if you’re looking for refill air cans for your older style SSSCat device (these won’t work with the new version).

Stops counter surfing!
This works like a charm and keeps my cats from jumping up on the counter. Sometimes I don’t even have to turn it on. Just seeing it on the counter makes them change their mind! I do feel it is quite expensive for a set of two but worth the cost to keep my mental health and patience with my cast. No scent.

Both cans don’t work correctly
I have bought this before and it worked great (bought in 2023). This time, I wasn’t as lucky. I just talked to customer service about getting a refund. BOTH cans don’t work. I put the motion sensor top on and both cans just started leaking the air and getting ice cold. Let it sit for a couple minutes thinking it might need to “settle” but it kept going. Tried turning unit on and off and on again, no change. I will stick with the name brand.

disappointed at first
After two hours the replacement can worked just fine. I had not turned it off and as I walked by it hissed at me very strongly. (This is my original review. I bought these as a replacement for my ssscat diffuser. Because they were a replacement I didn’t try them before I could return them. When I put it on the diffuser it leaked all over, then I let it stand for a few minutes but still didn’t work. I finally changed the batteries thinking that might be the problem, but still doesn’t work.)

My cats no longer enjoy getting on my counters!
I love this product. My cats dislike the little burst of air. It eliminates counter jumping. Sadly, whenI go to the counter, I get that burst of air also. It requires careful placement so. I don’t use all the air. One example of careful placement is back of counter facing sideways. Gets the cats after they are on the counter but doesn’t detect me walking by.

Didn’t work at all for my PetSafe SSSCat – beware, unreturnable
Sadly, these cans didn’t work at all for my SSSCat top. They click in and locked securely but no amount of motion would “activate” them with the sensor. I wish these worked, because it seems the original cans are no longer available to purchase? A lot of us are left with useless SSSCat devices now.I tested my original almost-empty SSSCat can with the top device and the original can made the little activation “hiss” when I waved in front of it, so I knew my top device still had power. I tried both of these new Berkland cans and even left them to sit, powered on, for several hours with no change.I gave this two stars, because even though it is listed as unreturnable, Amazon just refunded me without having to ship it back.
