Solid great design!
These were easy to assemble and really work well in the ground. I’m using them on a pretty steep hill and they’re still holding well. I have pretty heavy bird feeders on both sides of them and they don’t sway or rock even when full of birds. They feel a little taller than I expected but I really like it as it keeps everything high off the ground. I haven’t seen any squirrels have any luck crawling up them either.

Worked great all summer
These went into the front beds in late spring and have held hanging planters all summer and fall. My neighbors commented on how nice they look. They are sturdy, they look and work great and are the perfect height near the railing. I am going to keep them out for hanging large Christmas ornaments this winter. May need to get a couple more!

Sturdy and popular amongst the birds
I installed the hook today and within minutes had a variety of birds checking it out (along with the new feeders hanging on it). The prongs are very deep and sharp and make the pole very sturdy. Input it in crooked and had to pull it out entirely to angle it better because I couldn’t get it to budge! Assembly was very easy and installation just took a few presses of my foot on each of the prongs. Keep in mind how far down a feeder often hangs, 72″ isn’t as tall as you might think as far as where the feeder hanging height ends up. I thought I’d only add some of the poles, but ended up having to go the whole height or the feeders wouldn’t clear the bushes.The listing says solid iron .. these are in fact hollow, but seem sturdy. Also the threading is very long which makes a lot of twists to put it together l, but adds to sturdiness when done.

Very good quality hooks
The shepherds hooks are very good quality. The hooks are a great size, string, and I love the fact that I can adjust size by leaving all pieces on or removing one piece to reduce the size as needed. Both options are beautiful and sturdy!

These are good for feeders but not hanging baskets.
I loved that they were adjustable! They are hollow – I was expecting solid metal (mistake one my part). They are very easy to put together and look great. I had a hard time getting them into the ground. I tried a few places and my husband eventually got them in.My issue was that I purchased these for hanging baskets and they are not built for hanging baskets at all. I thought they might lean to one side or the other if the weight between the baskets was uneven. Nope! The baskets leaned backwards. Iâve never seen that. I took my baskets off immediately and gave the hanger away.I think these would work for feeders or something light like maybe lanterns. Definitely not for hanging baskets.

Great value and looks nice
In my opinion you can never have enough shepherds hooks and they’re not cheap. So, imagine my surprise when I saw these advertised for this price. My husband said they were probably not very sturdy, but I ordered them anyway. Yes, they are sturdy especially with the 4-foot prongs and with all these storms we’ve been having they haven’t even leaned, which drives me crazy. And you get two of them. Great find!
