I wish I had discovered this years ago before I invested in 5 gallon Home Depot buckets.
This storage container is absolutely perfect to store. The wood pellets that I use in my pellet smoker. While it is not waterproof or water-resistant, it is the perfect shape and functions beautifully with its poor spout to fill the hopper on my smoker. Keeping it in the garage is no problem as even the previous Home Depot buckets that I had stored outside with a gamma lid that was supposedly waterproof leaked and cost me lots of wet pellets.

I have used this product for many years for my bird food; dog food; and cat food. Ants and other bugs donât have a chance. Sturdy and very easy to fill and to empty into bowls.

Great dog food storage, but…
This is a fantastic container to store my dog food! I store it inside, so I can not attest to how water proof it is. The pop out spout and handles make refilling my dog’s food bowl a cinch! However, it says it will hold a 40 lb bag of food, but it dose not. I filled it full and still had food left over in the bag. This is not a MAJOR issue for me, however it would have been nice if it held the entire bag.

Love the storage containers, they keep my pellets for the smoker nice and dry. I have two for different pellets. Strong and durable to keep things Nice and organized. May purchase another in the future.

Easy to load and easy to pour
I have 3 of these I purchased about 5 years ago and 1 of them deteriorated and the lid cracked. I love the ease of use of these so I just purchased this one to replace the one that cracked. These are easy to load and easy to pour, just make sure the fill cap is snapped down or you may have a puddle of kibble to clean up. These are a bit pricey but very good. Recommend.

Smaller than advertised
Description states dimensions and quart size. Was sent a container far smaller. Description states 32 qt was sent 16 qt. Will change my review if mistake is made right.

Not rainproof
I bought it based on a reviewer saying it kept their BBQ pellets dry. The first time it rained my pellets were ruined. I think the pour spout is the problem. That design can’t possibly be water tight. I’m getting by with a kitchen garbage bag pulled over the top. I would not buy it again for outdoor use.
