Actually Deodorizes, not just covers up the smell.
This actually deodorizes! Some deodorizing shampoos simply cover up the wet dog smell with a powerful fragrance. This one cuts through it and eliminates it with the eucalyptus oil. We have two German Pointers that love to swim and roll in goose poop. Even if they don’t roll in the goose poop, their coat smell becomes unbearable. Two coats of this rinses out all the bad smell and lasts for 2-3 weeks, not 2-3 days like other shampoos we’ve tried.

No annoying perfumes
Almost all of the deodorizing shampoos I’ve smelled at pet stores have strong perfumes that seem to try to overwhelm odors rather than get rid of them. I don’t like strong perfumes myself so I can’t imagine how much dogs probably hate them, with their strong olfactory abilities and preference for dead animal smell rather than flowers! So I was happy to find this shampoo with only a mild shampoo smell and I was even happier when I tried it and it not only took away the doggy smell but also left his coat feeling really soft and fluffy ( he’s a Great Bernese ). He’s an 11 month old puppy now so his adult coat hasn’t come in all the way yet but he still has a lot of hair! And it stays soft and fluffy and clean smelling for weeks unless I accidentally let him get into something smelly. The doggy smell will come back if he gets really hot or wet, but when he cools off /dries off he’s back to smelling good – I don’t know if that’s common with other dogs or that’s just him. But I’m glad I found a shampoo that can keep him smelling good without all the perfumes!

Good Cleaning Chlorine & Salt Water Off, But Lab still Smells !
I was hoping the day after the shampoo my Lab would loose her dog stinky smell. No such luck. Burts Bees Dog Shampoo is very thick, and a little difficult to wash out. When it was half full, I added water to make it full again and now it cleans as well yet, easier to rinse out. I love Burts Bees products for me, so a little disappointed in their dog products.

This works well in all three of my pups. It moisturizes their skin to help with dry itching and they smell great for up to a week or more. Itâs gentle and effective.

Had hoped a big bottle of Burtâs would last a while. It feels watered down and took significantly more to was a single dog than other shampoos. Got rid of bad of ours however had no real scent of its own.

Product seems like it is watered down , itâs very thin. Doesnât sud well and it gave one of my dogs a rash that lasted a couple weeks. It definitely does nothing for odor control.

When I opened the lid to smell this, my dog who is normally picky with smells became MESMERIZED. She loves it so much. I gave her 1 bath with this stuff and it doesnât leave much of a scent at all, but thatâs the best part. No wet dog smell and no obnoxious scents for your pup! She also was starting to get dry skin/ dandruff and I believe this helped her skin because I donât notice her itching anymore and thereâs hardly dandruff left on my brushes now! This shampoo does have a consistency much like water, so be careful! Left a video showing her healthy, clean coat 🙂 Yes, I was holding the shampoo and thatâs why sheâs so interested.

Wonderful dog shampoo
Just adopted a 9 month old dog from the Humane Society, and she came home with some very flaky skin and an intense dog smell. We have her a bath with this shampoo, and watched the dirt come pouring off. The scent was very delicate, and it didnât froth much, but it rinsed clean and left her with a shining coat and no more flakes! Only downside was that I felt like I had to use more of the product than I expected, but the benefits and low price far outweigh that!

My dog was smelly from being outside so often. We got this and for 2 weeks now he has been ordorless and his coat so soft. It lathers really nice. No scent at all which is also nice for the dog because he doesnât like perfumed things.I highly recommend for general shampooing and any odor issues as a bonus. I used this shampoo on my labrador retriever. I was pleased with the fact that it didn’t take a lot to work up a good lather and she is now clean and odorless-there’s not much fragrance which I prefer. You get 2 16 oz. bottles so it will last a long time.
