Solid, durable, stylish, easy to use
Great color, great design, great craftsmanship, and easy to use. I especially like the design, which makes putting it on so much easier than with other designs. You just slip the dog’s head through the neck strap, wrap the chest strap around their chest, secure the clasp, and you’re good to go. No wrestling the dog’s legs into holes first. The metal leash bracket is very sturdy and accommodates any kind of leash. Both straps (neck and chest) can be adjusted, and the neck strap sits low enough that you don’t have to worry about choking, especially considering that the leash bracket is at the back of the harness.

Good Harness
Our son has a dog that is just a big sweetie! He likes to go on walks but can have a mind of his own. Bought this harness for him and it fits very well. (Just make sure to measure the neck and chest area and get the appropriate size.) Hooked up the leash to the back attachment and away we went. Pulled and pulled. Attached the leash to the front and immediately the pulling reduced. It didn’t stop but it made a big difference. With some consistent training, this will make a big difference when walking him.As for comfort, no complaints. By complaints I mean not biting at it or trying to get it off.Durability – time will tell but it appears to be well made. I think it will last quite a while.Overall, I’m very happy with it and may buy another one for our little Jack Russell.

durable and great for everyday wear
I got this harness for my dog about a year ago, as he had an aversion to the harness and he pulled on the leash. This one he likes soo much more. It’s way easier to get on, just one loop through the head and then buckle around the waist. I love the large buckle, which makes it easy to get on/off. The handle hold on the back is a game changer and I love that I can quickly grab my dog close to me when other dogs/ppl pass by. This harness is a 10/10 and I get so many compliments on it from other dog owners. Dog is 46 lbs, 3 yr old shiba/beagle for reference.

Pay close attention to the size chart and how to measure, and you will love this harness.
Everything about this is great. I have an 85-lb. bull terrier with crazy bodily dimensions (small dog shaped like a torpedo, with massive neck and huge chest). I’ve had the Large and XL sizes as he’s grown, and this harness is BY FAR the best-fitting and easiest to put on/remove of any we’ve tried. It’s (obviously) durable, the clip on the dog’s back is perfectly located, and the collar part of the harness is a martingale with another clip if you choose to use it. I use this harness as a “safety” back-up, with a flat leash attached to my belt and clipped to the back of the harness, so I can be confident using a thin slip lead on my dog’s neck for working on training for show while outside (and without fear he will grab the slip lead and escape). I’ve read some people complaining about the plastic buckle that fastens around the dog’s chest, but I don’t know what they are smoking. It’s plastic, but big, chunky and durable. Unless you are dipping it in liquid nitrogen or running it over with a truck, I don’t see how it will ever break. Five stars – I will buy another one of these if/when I need a replacement.

This Carhartt harness has two different attachment points, one on the chest and one on the back. I prefer the chest point as it helps with my dog pulling on walks. Also looks very handsome on my golden retriever. Recommended.
