Not worst child toy EVER!
This toy was purchased for my grandson’s 2nd birthday. As soon as he saw it, he immediately wanted to play with it as he pretends vacuuming all the time. I read the negative reviews but took the chance that the toy vacuum would arrive intact and work as imagined. I knew he would love playing with this toy vacuum. It was also reasonably priced, but you get what you pay for.The handle to the toy will not attach and does not snap in place correctly (see photos). Imagine how embarrassing it is at a small child’s birthday celebration, when your grandchild continually becames frustrated over not being able to play with a desired toy.I hate to give bad reviews about any product. I usually return it and not buy from that company again. In this case, it became necessary to warn others about the lack of quality control of a small child’s toy.I decided to attach the handle using super clue and will purchase another toy vacuum from another company for my grandson but I can not express how disappointing this toy is.UPDATED REVIEW:My first review about this toy was accurate until I glued the handle in place and added the batteries. It looks just like my Dyson and with the added sounds and confetti simulating the cyclone action of a Dyson vacuum, it has brought my grandson great joy to play with. And REALLY, that’s what its all about, his happiness.I now regret putting out a negative review. It was unfair due to the frustration felt because the expectated fun the toy was to give at a child’s birthday celebration was delayed. It is now hoped that this toy holds up and provides him many joy filled days playing with it.

CUTE look alike Dyson that help our autistic son overcome his fear of the vacuum!
I really debated between 3 and 4 stars on this, but at the end of the day, the price is really good for what you get and my son loves it, so 4 it is. My son is autistic and has always been TERRIFIED of the vacuum. Like, PETRIFIED! We have a Dyson Animal that looks almost exactly like this (but is purple instead of yellow (see pics). At 5, he still cries and runs when we pull out the vacuum, so I decided to get this in hopes of making the vacuum less scary and involving him. He LOVES it and now vacuums along with us instead of running and crying! That to me is a huge win. I find him vacuuming by himself all the time. I love that it’s teaching him an important life skill and that he’s enjoying cleaning! What more could you want as a parent!?It has one button and one switch. The button on top (that on the real Dyson turns the vacuum on) activates the swirling chamber where colorful little beads spin around. This is a really cute feature that my son loves. The switch on the bottom/side turns on the suction/sound. I really wish it was designed so that the top button turned both on at once, but alas, it does not. The vacuum is small enough and light enough that it could be used by a younger child but is tall enough that my 5 year old can still use it with ease. The detail and accuracy of the Dyson look alike is really quite good! That being said, there are some design flaws. First, it comes in 2 pieces for ease of packing in the box. The handle is supposed to snap down onto the body of the vacuum but ours will not snap down on. We pushed very hard and can’t see any reason it won’t snap into place but it won’t. The handle comes off from time to time and frustrates my son. I may end up sending it back for another one for that reason. Also, it’s not easy to get the rear wheels to click in and out of place to stand it up or enable it to roll on its ball. In the instructions it shows a lot of “Click” “Clunk” “Snap” and none of that works for us. It’s still functional but I wish it were easier and more intuitive to make those adjustments.All that being said, for $20 it has definitely served its purpose in our home and my son loves it. For the record I paid full price and did NOT receive this for free or at a discount for writing a review.

Son LOVES this
It’s so cool that it actually sucks up a little debris! Little cat hairs and some fluff end up in the thing inside that you can empty. Every time I use the real vacuum my kiddo runs to get his to ‘help’ me clean! When he opened it at his birthday he immediately wanted to start using it! I can’t believe it even beat out his toy trucks!Only issue is that when the batteries get low it kind of slows down, the beads don’t move, it’s quieter etc. But it took a while for that to happen. And sometimes my son likes to turn it on and set it down while he plays- i think it’s a white noise thing.

My 2 year old became obsessed with vacuum cleaners a few months back and he wanted one of his own. This toy is great for him. It has 2 control switches that do different things. It is pretty good quality, definitely durable enough to withstand the abuse of a toddler. It’s light enough for him to pick it up and hold it but not so light that it feels cheap. The batteries last a decent amount of time as well.It doesn’t actually suck anything up just gives the appearance of that. The head swivels very nicely and acts just like a miniature vacuum. He loves to follow along with us when we actually vacuum. The first day we got it he had to take a nap with it too! Can’t think of anything bad to say about it. Would recommend this for anyone looking for a fun toy for their kid.

Runs with a cheap simple motor and a very very small suction hole. Fun at first, but goes through expensive C batteries extremely fast for a tiny $1 motor that barely works. Itâs fun for the gimmick, but if your kid actually wants to clean, spend money on an actual cheaper vacuum cleaner.

This is brilliant!I got it for my 17 month old, and he loves that he can now vacuum just like Mummy!There is some assembly required, but it’s very easy to do. You simply push the handle into the base until it clicks, and you’ll need a screwdriver to open the battery compartment on the back, plus 4 x C batteries. (not included)It’s easy for little ones to push around, and it actually picks up little bits, so you will need to empty out the little dirt tray at the back, every now and then. (see my photos)If you push the vacuum handle forward, the little set of grey solid wheels pop down, so the vacuum stands up on its own for storing, another great little feature.I’m really happy and impressed with it overall, and would recommend!
