Great for fast eaters
Both my cats will eat so fast and then puke afterwards and demand more food. I saw this and thought I’d give it a try. I’ve started off by putting half their food in their bowls and the other half in here. My female cat wants nothing to do with it. My Male cat is trying to get the food out but hasn’t yet figured it out completely. I can tell right now they are very upset with me for this. They’ve been stomping around the house giving me dirty looks lol. I think they’ll figure it out eventually that they need to work harder to get more food. But for now I’ll just have to deal with their temper tantrums. I have to put their food on a table so the dog doesn’t get it. I gave 4 stars ONLY because it does slide even though there are small gripes on the bottom. I fear they may figure out it’s easier to knock it on the floor to get the food out. (Which won’t last long with the dog around). Other than that it’s a great buy! Pretty cheap price wise, very sturdy and bigger than I expected.*updated and given 5 stars. I’ve bought another so each cat can have their own. I also bought my MIL one for her cats because she saw how well it works. Awesome product!For those saying it’s too big for cats head, it’s designed so they have to paw the food out and that’s what slows them down.

Feline Vacuums No More
A few years ago, my cats started to really overeat. Tried a food ball that worked really well for a while, but food would get knocked around everywhere. My husband got tired of that and the noise it made. I was having trouble making sure that the older two cats got enough to eat because the youngest was hogging all of the food even when I split them up into separate stations after giving up on the ball. This feeder has worked really well for slowing down all three of my cats on how fast they eat as well as how much they eat. This bowl is very well made (very solid). It stands taller than I expected. The cats hated it at first and wouldn’t eat from it. I made sure that they saw me put the food in it, but they refused to really make an effort to get the food out for the entire first day and night. They continued to whine on the second day, but there was more effort to eat from it because I refused to give them food another way. Gradually they ate from it more and more and by the end of the week (I started on a Monday), they had finally eaten a full breakfast from it in one sitting. I can now also keep food out (like I used to when they were younger) all day because they will only pick at the food if they are truly hungry. It’s also more fair because the older cats can get as much as they want since none of them can act like feline vacuums (hopefully this will also lead to some weight loss). And, even though they have to pull the food out and onto the floor, they aren’t leaving pieces all over the place. I’ve only had it for a short time, but I am extremely pleased with this bowl. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Fat cat, no longer.
Our cat had an eating disorder. He was constantly wanting food, even if we just fed him. Would scarf it all down and then barf it right back up. Then he would be in our bedroom at 3am meowing and batting at our faces because he wanted more food. The vet thinks he may have been stray at some point and had food insecurity. We were determined to figure out what would help him, otherwise we were going to have to take him back to the shelter. So we got this dish to help slow him down. It worked!! He not only slowed down, but stopped coming into our room in the middle of the night and waking us up. He also lost about 4lbs so fast that the vet thought he was diabetic. He is now a healthy weight and also eats at a good pace that he doesnât actually need the bowl anymore! Thankfully it also works with our new puppy, to help tire out his mind haha.

TOO big for CATS
The “tongues” sticking out are too large and my cats can’t get their heads or mouths in to get the kibble. This is excellent for dogs as they have very large/long tongues. This thing Great quality, hard plastic but is just NOT for cats.

NO MORE PUKING
My beautiful, wonderful, amazing, glutton of a cat has acid reflux. He used to be free feed, but got too fat and we put him on a schedule. He hates the schedule, and will eat anything I put in his bowl in under 30 seconds and then promptly puke it back up and have the audacity to demand more! I’m not sure how but one time he got it at least 3 feet up the wall and destroyed a folder along with its contents. I had been resorting to feeding him one piece of food every minute just so he wouldn’t puke… as much. This of course, became an incredibly time consuming and frustrating task.I finally took him to the vet, because well puking all the time can’t be healthy but on top of that I was at a wits end of what to do and I was fed up with having to feed him so slowly and him still puking. They gave me some kitty anti-acid and prescribed a slow feed bowl. I have had this bowl for some months now, and I am happy to report no more puking. No more ruined sweaters, and stuffed animals. No more puke on my microfiber couch, and I’m eternally grateful that I no longer have to make the mad dash to try and move him so he can puke on something easily cleanable.

Ce produit est super, la nourriture est là mon chat le sait et ne réclame pas et il ne mange que quand il a faim ! Avant dans son bol il mangeait tout sans pratiquement prendre le temps de respirer et me réveillait la nuit, après j’ai acheté un distributeur à heures fixes c’était mieux il ne me réveillait plus mais dès que la portion était disponible il se jetait dessus et mangeait tout, et depuis cette nouvelle gamelle plus de problème je pense que ça lui convient bien ! La livraison a été rapide, la gamelle ne peur pas être renversée je suis très satisfaite de mon achat !

Bel objet, design innovant, couleur vive, et surtout notre petit chat ne “s’étouffe” plus en se jetant sur ses croquettes / sa pâtée : il joue et mange en même temps, en prenant le temps de mastiquer. Seul bémol, ce n’est pas très propre autour de la gamelle et il faut nettoyer souvent.
