Multiple cats love it
I got this for some of my pickier cats, but some I thought would like it weren’t as interested, and others glomped it like it was the best thing since tuna fish. It’s not broken or worn down and I’ve had it for 2 months now. I was worried about the cardboard lasting, and so far it’s not looking bad, yet… They like to go after it like it’s a bug. Gives fun interaction and keeps me and the kitties moving, so win-win 🙂 I have never clipped it to a cage – I’ve used it just in the house to play with them.

My cat is a fan of the Cat Dancer toy, but itâs a bit flimsy. I was hoping this would be the same concept with a handle and it is! I do wish the wire were longer, but itâs fine as long as I watch out for the murder mittens (nails).I have never clipped this to a carrier as intended.

Well-built but I like the length of the original
I got this and the Original cat dancer (https://www.amazon.com/Cat-Dancer-101-Interactive-Toy/dp/B0006N9I68/ ) at the same time. I thought I’d like this one more, due to the handle, but I found the original one, with the longer length, is more back-friendly for me to use.This is a much shorter length–maybe a foot? So if you’re tall you have to bend to get the toy in the cat’s paw range. I like the shape of the handle, though, it’s very comfortable, but I think the original is the better, more versatile toy.If I had my druthers, I’d have them put this handle on the original’s length.

Dancer is one of the favorite toys. Not the most durable but it really gets the cats going. Simulates a bumble bee bouncing around in the wild. Only one cat whisker came, description says two cat whiskers.

Cat is obsessed
This toy is so simple but so genius. My kitten LOVES this toy, I barely have to do anything with it and itâs so much fun and exercise for him. I can walk around holding it in my hand and heâll pounce along beside me, I kid you not. When Iâm eating, Iâll wedge the handle into our couch cushions for hands-free playtime. He becomes breathless chasing it up and down our furniture back and forth. I can clip it onto his cat tree, or our furniture. We use it at our animal shelter, too, for the cats there, and the clip on it comes extra in handy there. Itâs just so simple but cats love it.

New favorite toy
The cats love these. Very simple toys, yet they love playing with them. And super affordable!The cat dancer is fast, so the cats love trying to catch it.They also like chewing on the whiskers chasers and trying to catch them when we throw it. Only came with one whisker.Our cats have only like playing with string so far, so Iâm glad that theyâre enjoying something new.And I like how the toys were shipped with reduced packaging. Better for the environment!

Disappointing
The handle is way too short and the wire too stiff for this to be a good version of Cat Dancer. Cat will play with the normal cat dancer, but was uninterested in this.

Not what I thought
I had the impression that this was the version of the cat dancer with a handle; meaning a regular length cat dancer can be used with this handle. It only made sense theyâd make a comfy handle for it given how long cats LðVE playing with the cat dancer toy and how awkward it is to hold for just a little while.Nope! Itâs a SUPER short cat dancer (truly made for a cage) and the handle is NOT REUSABLE for any version. The short toy is securely in there, which Iâm guessing is excellent for cage play. Since the spring steel is so short, itâs quite a bit stiffer than the full size cat dancer. Personally, Iâd be too concerned for injury to mount it anywhere or allow unsupervised play with it unless it was for a lethargic or senior cat.I may break out the Dremel and see if I can alter it to work as a reusable handle for the amazing, best cat toy ever, the original Cat Dancer.
