Ordered this product to repair our cat tree. It was easy to work with and really did the trick. I affixed it with heavy duty staples and wood glue. No smell out of the package.

Bought this to renew cat scratch towers and cat tree poles. Good size for the nails and doesn’t leave broke filaments on the floor when they scratch. Docked one star for the heavy weird smell, but I opened the package and left it outside to disapate for about a week before using and smell was gone.

Pros: This hemp rope is a much better rope than what came on the commercial cat tree originally. It doesn’t have the scraggly fibers sticking out that would need to be trimmed off like some of the other replacement ropes. This rope is easier to work with. Durability has yet to be tested. Will update this review after use.Cons: It comes in 2 pieces,132 ft total, which is less useful than 1 long piece. I ended up with unuseful leftovers.The color is a dark tan, which doesn’t match the very light original rope, but no complaints from the kitties.
