Cat Love the Feather End, Not So Much the Wire Stick
The cat loves the feather toy at the end of the wire stick, no so much the wire stick. I ordered more feather toy attachments (the cat destroys these) and we use them on a stick with a string. I’m always afraid I’m going to poke the cat with the sturdy wire attached to the end.I’d recommend you skip the stick and just get the feature toys for another stick and string combination. The cat rejects all other feature toy attachments. She loves these. They even flutter when you flip them around.

    Loved by Two Siamese Cats
The first sign of success with this cat toy was when the cats were both more interested in the toy than the Amazon box it arrived in. That’s a good start, and honestly, it’s often the opposite with most toys. The wire is long enough to allow the cats lots of action, and it helps bounce the toy as you play with it. The features themselves are small—in a good way—so that they can spin and flutter freely and easily. While waving it through the air, the feathers will also spin around in a helicopter-like motion, further enhancing the cats’ enjoyment.I love that it also comes with two additional refills, and they all attach with a chain clasp similar to that found on necklaces. There is a bell that will jingle (like nearly all other cat toys) as it flies through the air or is pounced upon by your feline. What is nice, though, is that this bell is attached to the chain separately (it’s part of each refill but has a separate clasp). This means that it can be removed if so desired.I prefer the wire-type wand over the plastic ones. The plastic ones get warped and bent after just a couple of uses, while the wire snaps back into shape after each attack. The wire will arrive wound around itself, and you just have to untwist the end after you open it. Note that this may mean that it will snap into shape quite fast and, in my case, whip me in the chest. It was more startling than anything else, but be careful opening it around your face or letting a small child unwrap it.

Great Idea, but cats claws get stuck in metal attachment.
I thought this would be a great idea for my cats, and they both were pretty excited when I was putting it together. However within the first 2 swats, both of them got their claws stuck in the metal attachment. Now they want nothing to do with it. As far as the functionality of it, it really is neat that it does spin like a helicopter with ease. Only if there was a way that the claws would not get stuck in the metal part it would be a winner, however it is a no go with my picky kitties! I may find a way to put a string on the end of the metal pole to use it in some fashion. Overall the package is nice and the fact that it comes with extra feather spinners, so it really is a good product. Its just that my cats are Mr. Prince and Miss Princess and it has to be just perfect for them to give it any effort!

    My cat loves this toy
My ultra-active cat LOVES propeller wand toys, so I was interested in this new version. I feel the propeller aspect on this version isn’t very pronounced compared to other versions, and the feathers are shorter, thinner and spikier. BUT, my cat does love this toy!!! So that’s what really counts, even with a few issues noted below. The wood handle wand is very nice – high quality, durable. The three feather refills (if your cat loves this type of toy you need a lot of these, and 3 really doesn’t cut it), not so much. All of them had a bent metal part at the very top (as if the toy had a heavy box placed on top of it) that was easy enough to bend back, to get the propeller action going. And also, after about 5 minutes of play the metal part came out of the wood ball on one of them. Again, I think I can fix easily, as I glued overnight.Still, all and all my cat loves this!

    Kitty’s Gone Wild!
I was inherently skeptical that my kitten would like this toy, but boy was I wrong. It has 3 blades on it, which when whipped through the air makes a propeller sort of sound, along with the little jangly bell. The handle is made of a smoother wood, which is a nice touch. I also like that it came with 2 refills, as I think it’s going to take a beating. The wire part is pretty thick and somewhat stiff. While a cat wouldn’t be able to bend or break it, I find it a little too stiff for playing. It works, but there’s also times that the wire kind of got stuck as my kitten’s claws were grabbing at the toy, and I could see myself accidentally pulling her. I would just be careful as you’re using it so a freak accident doesn’t occur. This also means you need to use it where there’s more open space. When using it on the stairs it’s a little difficult since the wire isn’t very flexible.Otherwise, my kitten has gone nuts over this, and when I even pick it up to move it she comes running.

So much better than other pole toys
My cats are pole toy kinda girls. The motion this toy creates is like a spiral, so it mimics flapping wings. Both of my cats go nuts for this toy. It also has a bell to attract them. The handle and metal pole are nice and solid. The feathers themselves can withstand basic attacks, but enough rough play, and you’ll need to swap out the toy portion. This is really fine for my cats because I’ll leave the worn out toy and one of my cats loves to carry it around. It’s a great toy that provides plenty of enrichment at an excellent value, especially with the extra attachments. Very pleased with it and totally recommend it to other kitty parents!

    Cats aren’t that interested
This is a decently fun cat toy. The bells are kind of annoying, but it’s easy enough to take them off if wanted. It bounces and creates some nice play for my cats.Unfortunately, my cats just aren’t that interested in this toy. They whack at it initially, but don’t want anything to do with it right after.I think there is some good value for this toy. It seems durable for what it is as well. I know some cats would love this toy; just not my cats.
