Keeps my male cats active
It helps my two boy to keep active. The toy does what the advertising of the product say it will do. More importantly it runs over carpets and scatter rugs, which most of the toy we purchased will not do. I would recommend this toy to keep their in-house cats active.

My cats love when I turn this on and toss it on the floor for them. It keeps them occupied for a while and works as described. It occasionally gets stuck under a radiator. My only issue is because it works so well and travels all around the house, that it knocked over the cats’ water dish. LOL

One of my cats favorite things to chase around.
Two of my cats vote YAY! for this toy.One of them likes to carry it around by it’s tail, and chases it up and (especially) down stairs.I think the default (fast) speed it just too speedy – and scares them. But the (yellow?) mode is about right.It took a full day to charge up at first, but since has not needed it – so the ‘sleep’ function seems to work well for battery life.So, it rolls around, making odd ‘bird’ like sounds – actually kind of annoying, but also nice, since it reminds you that it’s still out there wandering around, and can help locate it!(The noises can be muted, with 2 quick button presses, apparently.)My cat who ‘likes carrying things around in his teeth’ likes this one a lot, though its probably a bit heavy for him to do often.The smaller, lighter toy is still his most favorite, but needs charging almost daily – so far this one has gone 2 or 3 days w/o needing a charge, in spite of waking up and rolling around on it’s own from time to time.I did have a moment of concern when I noticed it’s tail had come off, (probably due to the kitten carrying it around by it’s tail) but found it laying on the stairs.I think it’s large enough to not be tempting to eat by the cats, but still, I made sure to screw it in extra tight this time – if it happens again, I’ll put it in with hot melt glue.Most of these motorized cat toys ‘lose interest’ after a week or so, but so far, this one and one other seem to be highly favored by 2/3rds of my cats (3 is probably too old to care, or unwilling to compete with the others).The video shows how he picks it up, and chases it, and the other cat wants it too!This one is easy to recommend:- it’s a bright color (red)- makes noises when it wakes up from sleep – which attracts the cats, and makes it easier to find when it runs off and hides somewhere.- multiple speed selections – though I really can’t see the need for the fastest one; it’s just too fast (and scary) to them. I’d prefer another slower, mode.- other modes, like voice activation, which I haven’t actually noticed working, yet.- excellent instructions, including ‘de-tangling’ notes. (Yes, it collects cat hair, duh.)- The cats LOVE IT!!

Fraidy cats
This is a great toy and it is described very accurately. Unfortunately it scared the heck out of both of my cats. Thus, it is useless to me. This thing moves extremely fast! It does have periods where it is not moving, but they are very short periods so when my cats did try to investigate it, it took off again and scared the heck out of them again. So for my cats it’s a one star, but if you have a cat that is brave enough to play with it, it would be a 5 star. Thus the 3 star rating.

Crazy cast toy
This thing is crazy and two of my cats love it. It speeds around my house under tables, chairs, whatever is in it’s way. It fits get itself out of tight areas with it’s crazy movements. It isn’t horribly noisy but it is not quiet enough to use at night when they’re are hard wood floors. The battery life lasts for quite awhile. The cats don’t know what to do with this when they get the rope in their mouth and it takes off.It is fun to watch the cats chase this toy around and it’s crazy movements.

My dogs love it more than the cats lol. The directions tell you how to change speed/mode, but there seems to be one missing lol. Either way, we’re all entertained lol. Holds a charge for quite a while!
