Doesnt look like the picture but still cute
The picture on Amazon looks absolutely nothing like the actual item. However I really dont care what it looks like because my timid 2 year old female kitty i purchased this for likes it. She kneads and lays on it when it is turned on. The purr doesnt really sound real but it doesnt seem to matter to her. I like that this takes batteries instead of being yet another thing to have to recharge. For the price this toy is cute and helps my kitty.

Love
My kitty cat loves it. She snuggles and pretend nurse. So cute. Durable. Battery lasts about 3 months or so with constant daily use.

Great product, but cat threatened by it.
Super soft and cuter than the picture, definitely the product that was advertised. I loved it but my cat felt different. I have an adult male cat and thought it might help with his night time meowing/separation anxiety. However, everytime it was turned on he became visually agitated and refused to get anywhere near it. Probably better for kittens or female cats. But again, not the products fault, every cat is different.

Cat hates the purr box
This is a cut toy it’s not stuffed or anything which I thought it would be but it’s not it’s flat material decent size but my cat hates the purr noise it’s way too loud and doesn’t sound soothing at all he was playing with it then I turned the purr sound on and he took off and wouldn’t come near it again until I opened up the back and took out the box that makes the sound. Guess I will just fill the empty spot with dry catnip. Expensive for just a piece of material shaped like a cat.

Took some time but it soothes my girl
I recommend most for kittens and for cats who have lost another cat, say if you had 2 cats and one passed away or is no longer there. This may help with grief/loneliness. I also recommend for kittens. Kittens are born blind and deaf, so purring is how mother and kitten communicate. Purring also helps soothe and heal all stressed cats/kittens. It communicates safety. The purr on this may seem slightly loud or mechanical to us humans but is not abnormal to a cat. Just give it some time.I got this for young (around 6moâs) feral gal I recently took in. She was young enough that feral bit wasnât SO intense, but had only lived outside so distrusted anything sheâd never seen outdoors before, like pillows, beds, etc. I tried various thing to help her adapt. Sheâd lived with an older Tom in my neighbors recently vacant yard, but he took off a few weeks before I was able to get her in and thought this toy might help her both with boredom & loneliness. She didnât like or trust it much at first. When Iâd turn it on sheâd avoid it, and when I turned off she ignored it. I kept it in her room for a few weeks without turning on and now that sheâs settled in, she loves to cuddle kick it when I turn it on. Sheâll wrap her arms and legs around it, cuddle it, and kick at same time. She purrs when she does it so I think it must offer some level of comfort and companionship. The Velcro is strong, which is good. I wouldnât normally leave anything with battery near any animal, but the batteries are in a well sealed plastic box, which is tucked inside toy, and the strong velcro seals that box in.I think the amount of time itâs on, abt 90 secs maybe, is good amount of time, tho I wish there was an option to have it turn on every half hour or so as my cat hasnât been able to turn it on alone yet. That said, after Iâve turned it many times before, she now enjoys it even while off because she associates it with the purr she has heard from it before, so for the price I think itâs worth it.

Not so Soothing
I recently purchased this in hopes of providing my cat friend with a comforting companion while Iâm away.To start, the purring sound is excessively loud. When I first turned it on, my cat was startled and immediately ran away. In the video I took, you can clearly see that she is not a fan of this toy. Instead of the calming effect I hoped for, it caused her stress and anxiety. A soothing toy should ideally produce a gentle, comforting sound, but this one fails in that aspect.Additionally, the design poses a significant issue. The toy features a button located inside that requires a considerable amount of pressure to activate. My cat, being a typical feline, has not been able to turn it on herself. This means she relies entirely on me to engage with the toy, which defeats the purpose of having a soothing companion for her when I’m not around.I also wish I had noticed earlier that the description advises against leaving the toy alone with unsupervised pets. This is concerning, especially since itâs marketed as a solution for separation anxiety. If itâs not safe to leave with my cat when Iâm not around, then whatâs the point of having it at all? While the toy looks cute and appears to be made of safe materials, the loud noise and impractical design make it unsuitable for my cat. I would not recommend this toy for those looking to soothe their pets. Instead, consider options that focus on quieter sounds and that cats can easily interact with on their own. Hope this helps!—Let me know if you’d like any more changes!

My kitten is from an outdoor wild cat litter.Transition to home was done quickly due to the situation and not having enough time to do it as I wish I couldâve.I crate train my kitten to have him build confidence and his first night was awfull. Him being used to be out in an outdoor grange spending his day between wood logs and the other kittens of his litter, he was terrified of being indoor. The noises, the different smells, the lights, vibrations of the floor, everything. The poor one spent his night crying and meowing.I needed something to soothe him. I started looking only for soothing kitten must haves/toys/aids and found this toy. The texture and plush on the head part is perfect as the rest is empty. The purring sound really mimics a real cat purring sound. I was afraid it would sound really fake but no!His first day home after his first terrible night, we received it as I had bought it during the night, being unable to sleep and to sooth the poor kitten as quick as possible. And wow!It helped him acclymatizing and gaining confidence. It helps him get to sleep mode and to sleep whenever night times comes. It soothes him and able him to calm his terrified fazes.Perfect for crate training (I have my kitten in a large dog crate with a litter, toys, small cat tree and a blankie) and for having them getting used to new environment because he was a forest kitten. Our second night together was way better! I was only woked up arround 5:30 am instead of consistent cryings all night having me to not sleep at all.He started feeling way more confident indoor today, walking with less fear arround and almost none anymore. He would look at walls and ceillings being completely terrified before. If you are doubting on getting this, just get it, this is the best purchase I did for my new little fur oneð
