Works Effectively
We adopted a dog from the shelter that was said to be feral. We soon discovered that this dog loved all people, was very smart, and would make a great family pet. The dog was strong and constantly pulled on the standard leash. We watched a few videos and bought this leash. At first the dog continued to pull on the leash. This was caused by the leash slipping from the head position to back down the neck. We would have to continually stop and move the leash back into the correct position. However this was not very effective or practical. We began to consider a prong or e-collar., but decided to try this leash using the nose loop feature (see in product video). The dog tried to get the loop off her nose, but with slight tension on the leash she could not. The pulling immediately stopped and she walked by our sides with no tension on the leash except mild tugs for corrections. The nose loop was the answer to our problem given this dog’s anatomy. This was only the 2nd day using the nose loop and our dog has almost stopped trying get the nose loop off. Now we can all take a relaxed and enjoyable walk with behaved dog. Thanks to Caesar and his staff. Note that this dog is approximately 2 years old and likes lots of affection. She does have behavior problems with other dogs. Again, this leash really helps with her outbursts which we try to avoid.

great slip lead
This is a great slip lead. Well made and it will last. It is much sturdier than the thin/fancy dog show slip leads, and I wanted a sturdier lead for my 7 month old pup who is in training. This goes on quickly and easily and works very well. My breeder recommended getting a slip lead for this training.

Decent Leash but not Durable
I like this leash, but the area where the hand loop is connected by crimped metal is covered with a flimsy rubber/plastic cover that fell apart in 3 months of use. I had to use baseball bat grip tape to cover the exposed metal. Should be better at this price.

High quality
This is everything I hoped it would be. Very high quality, sturdy, soft and smooth in your hand, with a slight give. If you use the techniques Cesar recommends this works like a charm. I have previously ordered more expensive leashes that looked similar to this, but upon arrival they were thick, unyielding, and just bulky. This coils nicely in your hand and if I keep myself in a calm, assertive mindset my dogs follow easily.I have seen a lot of questions here about what the extra black metal loop is for. I saw Cesar use this lead to loop over the dogs nose (in his new show), and although he didnât explain it, nor can I find any videos or pictures about this feature, I believe thatâs what it is for. I included some pictures of how to do it. Iâm not sure if we will need this feature but itâs nice to know I have that option. It basically turns the lead into one of those âgentle leadersâ that controls their head more. I may need it for my other dog (shown in the background) who is very reactive to wildlife on our walks. It does make the leash much shorter obviously.This is the âone size fits mostâ option, but I also just ordered the âlargeâ size as well, thinking a longer option might be nice for walking both of my dogs on my left side. I wasnât able to find the length of the âlargeâ option, so I will update when it arrives.If you are familiar with Cesarâs techniques, and know how to make quick corrections and have (or want) your dog to follow you, this is a great tool. It takes practice and patience, but my dogs are no longer strangling themselves on walks, and seem much happier.I hope this is helpful!!

Does help, but needs constant adjusting during walk
I watch so many Cesar television shows on how to correct dog behavior and see him use a Yellow version on the shows. I see there is not a yellow version of this lead available on the site so that was irritating because I wanted to get what he uses exactly from his show. Anyway, thanks to another reviewer, I knew to buy the “large” size of this for my 40lb dog because she made the mistake of buying the regular smaller size this site defaults to choose. The “large” is not very long, only 2 ft but maybe the rope is thicker.The rope is a light stretchy material so it does not chafe your hand, but it still burns after a while of your dog pulling and you trying to keep it from pulling. I could not imagine trying to use this on a dog bigger than 40 pounds because it feels like it is at it’s max strength when I am dealing with mine.My dog likes to eat anything and everything on the ground as we walk so I needed this for the option of the muzzle control feature of the rope. As others have said it acts like the gentle leader halter.Pros: The adjustable slide to “secure” the loop size over your dog’s head, behind it’s ears is easy to move up and down.The black metal ring works well when you use the second circle to loop over your dog’s muzzle. Every time she tries to open her mouth to eat something on the ground she can’t.CONS: The adjustable slide to “secure” the loop is too easy to move and therefore I have to constantly push it back down on my dog’s head while walking. I am trying to find a clamp of some sort I can clip behind this slider to keep it in place once my dog starts moving.As soon as it begins to slide up from movement, causing the neck hoop opening to widen and she is back to pulling hard.

Great product! I like the size. Many slip leads are either really thin like the kind you get at the vet or bulky and do not eyed with smooth action. We have an adult German Shepherd and needed something functional and durable and this is it! Ours arrived defective so I reached out to the manufacturer (not Amazon) and they immediately replaced it at no cost to us. Really appreciate it! Truly great product.
