Good pads … with a caveat
Let me begin by making this important statement – my dog is a senior, diabetic who recently went completely blind. This is important regarding my experience with these pads.PROS —* These are LARGE. Easily the size of 2 to 1-1/2 stand size pads.* They are very thick. You can feel it when you handle them.* They absorb very, very well.* There are sticky tabs on the corners if you want to adhere them to the floor, etc. but I can’t comment on them because I don’t’ use them.CONS —* It can sometimes be very difficult to tell when the dog has urinated on the pad because of the dark gray color.I don’t understand …* Why there is only an ‘edging’ strip along 2 sides. I worry this allows overflow leakage on the sides that doesn’t have it.We go through a lot of pads right now because my newly blind furbaby doesn’t have the confidence to be outside … even with me guiding her by voice and soft touch but we’re getting there. These pads ARE big and absorbent and I’d say they’re more for larger dogs or households with multiple dogs given the size.Here’s why MY dog won’t use them and it took me a minute to figure it out. So, if you have a dog with eyesight issues and they have been using pads — please take note …. texture. The texture and feel off these pads is different than any other pad I’ve used (and there are MANY). These are scratchy feeling. Not soft and ‘diaper-y’ like other pads. That’s not to say it’s a bad thing by any means. But, eyesight deficient dogs rely on other sense …. touch being a very important one. At 10 years of age, my dog understands when she steps on the pads – this is where I ‘go’. she doesn’t recognize that because of the texture and feel of these. she’s actually gone on the floor next to them.So, good pads. A few things I don’t understand in their construction. I recommend for larger dogs due to their size or households with multiple dogs. Thick. Absorbent. Just be wary if you have eyesight deficient pets these may not work for you.

Absorbs urine and idir
These are the best pee pads Iâve found. My elderly dog uses these when she canât make it outside or itâs too cold to go outside. Sheâs 18 years old. They absorb and with the charcoal there is no odor. Theyâre really thick and big. They have little tabs to stick them to the floor if needed. Iâm really impressed!

Great for cats too who ‘think outside the box’!
I’m actually using these for a cat that does not do any type of litter. Most of the time, she will pee in an empty litter box, but occasionally she’ll pee on the floor next to a litter box. I do have other cats, so I have a couple of litter-filled litter boxes. So I tried placing these pads under my 2 litter-filled litter boxes.First off, due to the generous size of these pads, they capture a good bit of the litter that my cats scatter over the edge of the boxes, greatly simplifying morning cleanup: I just shake litter from the non-soiled pads back into the boxes and then do a minimal cleanup with dustpan and brush to get the rest.And since I started using these pads, my ‘outside the box’ cat thinker has peed 3 times on these pads. The pee stayed on the pad, it did not leak through, and there was no smell. I merely picked up the pad, put it in the trash, and replaced with a new one. Before using these, such a cleanup entailed a scrub brush and bucket as I traced the pee through various grout lines!For me, these are a winner, greatly simplifying my cleaning ‘routine’.Given that I am placing heavy litter boxes on top of these, I have no need to use the peel off tape at the bottom corners to stick them to the floor; however, I did try that. My experience was that the pads may have stuck a little too well. When I picked them up, pieces of the glue stuck to my floor tile, which I had to scrape off. And, if the cats jerked the pad around, the glue would stay in place on the tile, but the pad around it would tear, just on the bottom, though – no impact to the top of the pad.

I like that there is no urine smell . What I DON’T like is the urine does leak through some to the floor. I’m going to have to switch brands instead of these expensive ones. Because I have to double them because the pee leaks through and gets on the floor. That’s the reason why people buy pee pads so the dogs don’t pee on the floor . So if I have to use 2 each time on these expensive ones I’m going to a different brand

Love the sticky side!
I love that these pee pads have a sticky side that will stick to tile. But, when pulled up, they still stick to the tile. But I don’t have to tape them down, so it is ok that it has great adhension. I don’t smell the male pee, so the charcoal odor control does a good job of soaking up the odor. All in all, these are really good, effective pee pads.
