From best-selling authors J.F. Gonzalez and Brian Keene comes the wildest, pulpiest, most over-the-top installment in the Clickers series yet—a crossover with Keene’s The Rising!

In the aftermath of a devastating tsunami and a series of undersea earthquakes, hordes of Clickers swarm onto the California coastline, slaughtering everything in their path. As the attacks spread to other parts of the world, humanity fights back, unaware that a second foe is about to emerge—Ob, the leader of a supernatural race of beings known as the Siqqusim, who have the ability to possess and reanimate the dead.

Now, Earth faces an invasion from not one, but two enemies—the mindless and hungry Clickers, and the evil and equally ravenous zombies. Both groups have only one goal in mind—the total extermination of the human race. But what happens when these two forces meet….

Clickers vs Zombies – No matter who wins, mankind loses….

    Great!
I really loved the Clickers Trilogy. 1 was great! 2 was amazing! 3 was flawed but still a great fun read. I read Clickers Vs. Zombies before I read The Rising and Dead City which I now regret but still had an amazing read. My advice would be read The Rising First! It will make more of an impact. Anyway..The story read like chaos incarnate. I have never been stressed by a book until now. Holds nothing back. Brian Keene is a genius. Hollywood needs to take note of this author.

A Saturday Matinee in Book Form–Good Fun
Remember Frankenstein vs. The Wolfman (interrupted by flood)? Dracula vs. Frankenstein (Drac by a knockout)? or even Mothra vs. Godzilla (Godzilla has a heat ray, Mothra is a moth—pretty obvious who wins)? This is like that. Silly? Sure. Fun. Oh yeah. Lot’s of fun. I also enjoyed the alternate universe aspect of this one with Easter eggs and and cross pollination of characters from many other Keene books. It reads like a present to his fans and since I am one, I enjoyed it.Not one of Keene’s or Gonzalez’s serious books, this one is played for the fun of it, and if you think you will enjoy it, then you probably will. Not a serious part of the canon of either writer but fun nonetheless.

    So much better than expected
I’ve been eagerly gobbling up any new information on the Siqqsim since reading the rising and city of the dead and this book gave a lot more info on what they’ve been doing since the end of city of the dead and how much better they’d become at slaughtering every living thing on earth again and again and again. I never read the clickers series but I plan on doing it now because of how equally vicious and merciless they are compared to the siqqsim. I feel this book would have been so much better if I’d read both series so to anyone wanting to read this like the description says you should probably have read both series so that you know and care for the characters a lot more. Anyways this is a great book and was much better than I ever expected.

    Okay
Not as good as the first 3 in the series. This one takes place on a alternate plane of time, time warp or whatever you want to call it with characters from the first 3 books in the series playing different roles in this one. Gone from this one though for the most part are Keenes subversive slander of the right wing conservative republican party which he so freely vomited in Clickers II. Mr. Keene however does what he does best and that is he is arguably the best writer when it comes to in your face blood and gore fast paced edge of your seat horror excitement!

Perhaps the most fun entry in the series
Reading the Clickers series over the last couple of months has been a lot of fun. Gruesome fun, but fun nonetheless. And this entry might be the most fun of all. Taking place in a different universe from the rest of the series, CvZ plays a little what if with some familiar characters from both the Clickers and Rising series, but ultimately provides the reader with what they came for – zombies fighting giant crab monsters and every conceivable incarnation and amalgamation of that mixture. Keene and Gonzalez let their imaginations run wild and the audience is richer for it.

Sometimes the End is the Beginning…………….
This was a great read for fans of both the Clickers series and The Rising series. Brian and J.F do a great job of tying in elements of their other stories for the hardcore fan and give you a fun pulpy romp through what would happen if both the clickers and the threat of zombies both happened at once. Well it turns out to be a all out fun gore fest with a great way of showing how things are happening all over not just in one general area. Again a great collaboration and a must for fans of both authors they deliver the goods again and again.

If you’re a Keene or Gonzalez fan and reading this review you probably know that this book is part of the Clickers and Rising series. If you’re not this book can be read as a stand alone but I’d recommend reading the other books in the series first.I had been waiting on this book coming out since I first heard about it and started reading it as soon as it arrived. I’m not too sure if my expectations were too high but I found the book quite slow paced at the start and was a bit surprised by this. The slow start aside though I absolutely loved this book. The action does pick up and there is plenty of it. Zombies vs Humans, Humans vs Clickers and Clickers vs Zombies. If you know the work of these authors you will see a lot of characters that you know in this story but in the true fashion of Brian’s Labyrinth mythology they aren’t always the same as you knew them (for new readers the Labyrinth mythology is basically like string theory. Same characters in another version of earth).I really started to enjoy the story and seeing some old characters I knew so well re-appearing. I love both the Clickers and Rising series and hope we see more from both. As I said earlier I really recommend starting at the beginning of both series but I can’t see anyone not enjoying this book.Oh. One more thing. There is a section of the book where one of the Black Lodge agents reads some pages from their training manual which lets us know a little more about the Labyrinth. I loved this bit.

I have been a fan of Keene and Gonzalez’s ‘Clickers’ series as well as Keene’s own ‘The Rising’ series for a long time now so have been looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of this book since it was first announced. The plot is fairly straight forward, the crab-like Clickers start pouring onto the beaches and devouring anyone who stand in their way after being disturbed by an underwater earthquake – yet shortly afterwards Ob and the Siqqusim start their own invasion from the void; and start inhabiting the bodies or dead humans, animals, birds and even Clickers. Leading to a battle between the Clickers and Ob’s zombies with humanity stuck in the middle. It’s also worth noting that this book is set on a different version of Earth than the other books; so although you may recognise past characters they are essentially different people. This adds an extra element as if you have read the previous books it’s nice when you do see a familiar face. The book also gives you a better insight into the mysterious Black Lodge group who pop up fighting evil in many of Keene’s other books.Although the book starts off a little slow the action picks up quickly enough with plenty of action and death. A must read for anyone who has read the past books; and still a very good read for those who are yet to try them.

WOW, that is all you can say when you manage to put it down, Note this is a alternate universe than the first three so charactors have different lives than before…. the mash up between the Clickers and Zombies is a refreshing change, but would have loved the Dark Ones in the story but all in all, BRILL!!! i hope both authors bring a follow up to this book or bring a fourth of the Clickers/Dark ones seriesYou won’t be disappointed
