It’s not that difficult
I was initially considering not getting this because of all the reviews saying it’s impossible to put together even for two people. I’m a 100lb female and don’t have very much muscle because I don’t exercise or have a physically demanding job. But it took me about 3 minutes to put together by myself. 20 seconds to read the instructions and 2.8 minutes to put it together. To make it easier for yourself, instead of putting one full bar on, put both on half way. I affixed one side of the bar inside of the hole and put the other side next to the other hole. Then for the second bar I did the opposite side in all the way then the other next to the hole. It doesn’t require anything fancy to get in or even very much muscle. It’s more precision than muscle. It helps to use your leg to stabilize the cot, one arm to push down on the cot and the other arm to pull the bar out. Doing both together helps move the hole into the button on the cot. Don’t rush it or you’ll overshoot the hole. Just pull it slowly on the bar, push on the cot, and ease both into each other. To take it apart it’s much of the same thing except with more emphasis on pushing the bar out and holding the cot in place.I wanted a nice cot that would be strong enough for my pupper and large enough for us to share, but didn’t cost $100 or folded a million different ways. It’s wide enough to share even though she likes to lay diagonally. She’s able to sit and be nosy, stand up and say hi to the neighbors, and lay down to sleep or chew on her toy.It feels sturdy even with both of us on it. I like super soft things so as far as comfort without a cushion, it’s hard and not squishy enough for me. I plan on getting a specific cushion for it anyway since I don’t want her claws to destroy it. If you like softer this is definitely not good for you without a cushion. Leaving it in direct sunlight will make it feel like a blacktop. I also like to have a lot of extra room. I’m 5’7 and I fit inside of the two end bars. So my head and my feet don’t sit on top of the bumps at the ends which is nice.I just received it an hour ago so I can’t speak to longevity but so far I’m very impressed for the price. I didn’t expect to find anything that would be a good fit for my needs. I don’t plan on going camping with this. It’s basically just for my dog to not have to lay on the floor on our balcony and so that I can join her occasionally. It is pretty heavy and doesn’t seem worth it to carry around for camp. It does feel like it’s built like a tank. Even the carrying case was nice quality. This cot seems better as backyard/patio furniture or a pop-up bed for guests to not sleep on the floor, but I might be biased since that’s what I intended for it. If you have a car and don’t plan on carrying your campsite far this will do just fine.

Perfect!
Exactly as pictured, described and everything in between! My brother has the same thing. His is a little smaller which I didnât realize this is bigger but itâs still the same thing. Worth every penny. Easy set up. It does fold up and fit into its carrying case. Almost fell asleep on it once it was set up and itâs very sturdy and had my puppy come cuddle with me as well.

Nice taught cot
I’m 6′ 2″ 230lbs and this cot fits me nicely and supports my full weight. Much improved width and length over the mesh cot I used last hunting season. Very pleased with my choice to buy this cot plus the cost is great. My guess with the folks that struggled with the end bars is they did not use the longer bar edge as the last side to install. Using the extra length gives you length to hold onto and the leverage you need to install. I also noticed that the the cot fabric was bunched towards the center legs. Once I pulled it tight to the end, the first leg was a cinch and the second leg was not a struggle to install. No lever, crowbar or anything else to get the ends installed.

solid, dependable cot
Yes this is heavier than an alum frame cot of same design and it could rust if left outside. Chance of frame or cover failure is very low. It is easier to set up than many of the similar designs both aluminum and steel.Weight in carry bag is 19.7 lbs on certified digital scaleEasy to unfold and attach end bars. Unlike others the end bars extend 1.5″ on one side, but 3 3/8″ on other to give you a better grip when pulling end bar into position. Note: on this style cot unfold, full extend legs. With all legs on ground place your palms or fists on cot and lean putting your weight on it, repeat at each end and middle to stretch fabric. Do not sit, or pound on cot, just lean on it. Place end bar through fabric channel and hole in bar nearest bar end on frame pin. On other side of fame pull longer 3 3/8″ end of bar and place on pin. Repeat on other end. If too hard to pull try A) repeating pressing on cot with hands or B) Cut an 8″ or 10″ length of 1″ PVC thick wall water pipe and side it over end of bar to extend your grip when pulling or C) use a strong 3/4″ dowel or similar to pry against cot leg and bar. Plenty of room in storage bag for the pvc or dowel to store with the cot. The 8″ piece of 1″ PVC pipe allowed my girlfriend to assemble/disassemble the cot by herself. Also leave cot assembled over night to help fabric stretch and next assembly will be easier. If you decide to opt for the aluminum frame for less weight, always sit above the legs rather than between the legs when getting in and out of cot. Most broken alum cots I see are because someone just dropped down rather than sitting and did so between the legs where there was no support and often directly on the frame rail. This usually is not an issue with a steel frame like used on this coleman. Kids (and adults) should not jump and bounce on any camping cot. They just are not designed like a bed at home.

Sturdy bed and very comfortable. The trick to assemble the last peg is to use your foot. Tilt the bed and press the last peg using your foot to stretch the bed and it goes in easily.

This cot has steel frame side bar and itâs sturdy compared to other cots with aluminium frame which might bend after few usages . Initially itâs hard to fit the bars at first time and after couple of nights itâs better than the first attempt as the canvas stretches a bit . Of course it might need a mattress for good night sleep but for this price its really worth for $$ . Could improve the stitching a little better but so far itâs holding good . Perfect for camping in 4/6 person tents . Worth to buy for long lasting Coleman military cots . Would buy it again .Pros : best value for money , sturdy cot with steel frames compared to other military cots (Alluminium frames ) .Future Improvements needed : Better stitching , pivot arms to place bars , wheeled storage bag ,Overall itâs a better cot compared to others in the market and hope itâs definitely last long for multiple nights . Would buy it again . Best bang for the buck !!!! .
