The rich miconazole shampoo helps relieve symptoms of fungal infections (including those associated with yeast and ringworm), while soothing damaged skin. Effectively aids in eliminating the scaling that is a by-product of seborrhea. 2 Percent colloidal oatmeal locks in needed moisture while providing soothing relief. Free from dyes and fragrances. Safe for dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. Ready to use. Ingredients are miconazole nitrate, colloidal oatmeal, sodium lauryl sulfate, propylene glycol, sodium laureth sulfate with ethanol, EGMS fatty acid esters, coconut based lathering agent, PEG distearate, lauramide D, aloe vera whole leaf, cosmetic grade preservative, purified water. Directions for use – Wet coat thoroughly with warm water. Apply shampoo to head and ears, then lather. Do not get shampoo into eyes. Repeat procedure with neck, chest, middle and hindquarter, finishing with legs. Allow shampoo to soak in for 10 minutes. To prevent ingestion, do not allow animal to lick while bathing. Rinse thoroughly with water. Repeat twice weekly until symptoms subside, then weekly, or as directed by a veterinarian. Available in 12-ounce size. Get this for your itchy hamster
So I was dubious about how effective this product would be for hamsters, esp since hamsters and baths are like oil and water. But the description said it was good for even these little guys. About a month ago, I noticed that my hamster had dandruff – which is something I’ve never seen on hamsters before. He was also scratching himself raw, which made some bits of his fur fall out. I suspected a fungal infection, but I couldn’t get him in to see a vet until over a week later. So I decided to try this shampoo out in the meantime.Let me tell you, it’s not an easy task trying to keep a hamster still for 10mins to lather the shampoo in. It’s also really important to keep them warm during this process. I held him close in my hands to keep the warmth in and to prevent him from trying to lick himself. Also, after I rinsed him off, I partly used a blow dryer on the lowest warm setting and held it far enough away so that the air wouldn’t burn his delicate skin. You also want to direct the air flow from behind so that it didn’t blow in its face. Then I used a fine dog comb to gently take out the shed hair and dandruff – which also helped to dry him off. The best time for me to do all this was during the day when he was already calm and sleepy.I didn’t notice anything until about the 4th day, when the dandruff looked smaller, the itching decreased and his skin looked less scaley. I still had concerns about regularly bathing him, but my vet said that the shampoo is less intrusive on the hamsters’ health than having to take a strong antifungal medicine orally – which makes sense. She encouraged me to continue the shampoo for a few more times and see if my hamster continued to improve. The vet didn’t suspect ringworm, but perhaps an allergy to his bedding or pollen (??). I definitely suspected a mild case of ringworm, b/c he had a UTI and URI as well. But in any case, this stuff worked so well!!! It was gentle on my little guy and I used a good amount to lather him up. It also smelled good. It wasn’t overpowering at all or had a chemical stench. In fact, he pretty much smelled like his usually self, but nicer.I’ve shampooed him only 4 times since I’ve received it (doing it every 3 days) and he looks great. He’s back to his normal self. Whatever skin condition your pet has, this will help. And it is safe enough to use – even on a 160gram, delicate, litte hammie.

Loved this shampoo for Guinea Pigs
I was concerned because this shampoo said dogs and cats but I was looking online for a good shampoo for my guinea pigs and a lot of videos demonstrated this shampoo and recommended for worm problems. I bathed my guinea pigs with this and their itching went away. What a RELIEF, my poor babies were so itchy and uncomfortable but this shampoo took care of that so if you have guinea pigs, know that this shampoo is safe and effective.

This brand has been around for many years and itâs always been reputable for me & my dogs. I bought this because I know that miconozole works for athletes foot and or jock itch for humans. The 2% strength use to be by prescription only. it has been 2% âover the counterâ percentage now for a long time! It works. itâs one of the strongest antifungal that is over the counter without a prescription. The men use it for jock itch in Lotrimin spray and cream. For dogs with canine warts itâs stopped the itching immediately and lasts between baths. I took one star off for the price. It tends to get very pricey if you have more than one dog.

My little Pekingese was scratching like mad, and no expensive treatment seemed to help. Then, a friend who breeds King Charles Cavaliers told me about this shampoo. She said she has seen people ready to give up on their dogs use this shampoo and cure many skin conditions. I couldn’t see any flaking or redness, but the poor thing was clearly uncomfortable, so I tried it. It works! Make sure you don’t use too much, and saturate the skin from all angles. Leave it on for ten minutes, then rinse. I had to use it over a period of time, but my little girl is happy and calm now. A miracle!

Our 2 year old Rottweiler never had any allergies or any issues. She stayed with my family for about a month and a half and when we brought her home she had rash all over and smelled really bad like a sour smell. We tried to save ourselves some money by buying a medicated shampoo online, but the one we usually would get is no longer available without a prescription. So we tried this twice a week, leaving it on for 10 minutes before rinsinge, but after about a month nothing changed. It seemed to have aggravated the rash more so we made the vet appointment. Her vet actually stated the shampoo is of high quality and was surprised it didn’t work. Her vet gave us a medicated shampoo and some antibiotics, which did the trick!

My dog suffers from chronic yeast infection. I use this product along with the Davis Benzoyl Peroxide Shampoo and Davis Chlorexidine Shampoo. I use this product with the Davis Chlorexidine after applying the Davis Benzoyl Peroxide Shampoo to help open and clear out the pores, so that the shampoos can effectively treat the yeast. After a couple of applications, I saw a huge improvement on their skin. I bathe my dog every other day, sometimes every 3 days and so far he is itching less and his skin is almost back to it’s original state.
