A functional remote for presentations
I’m a lecturer at a university, and I wanted a remote that would let me leave the podium so that my presentations would be more dynamic. Also, I wanted a remote with Bluetooth capability. This remote is compact and functional. Making the wireless connection between the remote and my computer was completely straightforward. I chose the red laser pointer and not the green, because I have found that green pointers are usually so bright that they distract from the presentation. This pointer was a sufficient brightness that it was easy to see, but not so bright as to be distracting.The advance and reverse buttons worked fine out of the box. Depending on your computer, you may have to change the particular signals the remote sends for these functions. There is a sheet which describes how to make these changes, but for my Mac no changes were necessary.The one improvement I would suggest is relocating the buttons. The laser button is the most commonly used, then the advance and the reverse button is seldom used during a presentation. In this pointer (and most others) the three buttons are placed close together. Increasing the distance between the advance and laser button would make it easier to select the correct button without always looking down at the pointer, which I may learn to do over time (I’ve only used it for two presentations so far). Positioning the reverse button even further away would be better from user standpoint, even though from an engineer’s standpoint the advance and reverse buttons belong together.The charging has exceeded my expectations. The remote worked out of the box and for quite a while thereafter. I never did discharge it all the way, because I was concerned it might fade out during my presentations.

Works pretty much as advertized
Easy to use, small but not too small. Buttons are easy to find without looking and I had no problems using it (RF mode) to control my presentations. I did discover however, that in blue tooth mode if you don’t do something with it (for example while having a discussion about a slide that perhaps goes too long) it goes to sleep and seems to lose its bluetooth connection. After having that happen once or twice I just switched to RF and it worked fine for the remainder of my presentation. A decent, if not perfect, device. If they fixed the loss of BT connection when it sleeps that would make this device 5 stars. I like the fact that it uses a plain old battery.

lightweight, fits in the “pen” compartment in my work bag so always easy to find. lasor works great – a nice new versoin of the basic tool.

Do not buy! Laser pointer doesn’t work, and documentation is wrong
No trouble connecting to my Windows laptop out-of-the-box via Bluetooth. However, the laser pointer doesn’t work.And the documentation says, “Push the power switch to the on position”, and “The wireless presenter is equipped with an on/off power switch.” Except there is no power or on/off switch. Do not buy!

Até gostei do produto embora achando que o acabamento é inferior pelo preço pago. Desde a compra usei toda semana, mas ontem (23-07-2024), simplesmente o lsaser não funciona mais, consigo passar os slides mas o laser não funciona. Decepção com o produto, novinho e já com defeito. Não aconselho a ninguém a comprar.
