The whole boot is very soft, so it’s easy and quick to put on. Firmly fastens by a wide, elastic and adjustable strap, capable to prevent slipping off and supply a tightness. Please measure across the whole paw pad to get the paw width and length. These boots are relatively flexible and roomy, so a snug fit is better. If your dog’s feet are in between 2 sizes and if you’ve chosen the larger one, you could kindly try to use socks for dog inside the boots and then the boots may stay on better. For cleaning, the boots are hand washable and dried naturally in the air.

Good basic boot
I purchased these when my dog needed an injured paw constantly covered. I tried to find something simple and affordable and these were the winners. They are great for giving a dog’s foot basic protection as well as being simple to put on. The quality is pretty good too. I just pop them in the washing machine when they need to be cleaned. Fit seems to be true to size.I wouldn’t assume they are waterproof. However if what you need is a light protection boot – these are a great value.

We’ve struggled to find a boot that would fit our cocker spaniel. He’s a “medium” dog, but medium boots don’t fit him, and sometimes large is troublesome too. His paws are enormous. So we went with the extra-large on these, and they’re okay. They’re loose, but not in the way you would think. He has trouble keeping these on, so we readjust often, but they’re doing the job we need for now.UPDATE after a few weeks of use: I guess it’s good that these come in a set of 4, but God help you if you actually need to cover all 4 of your dog’s paws at once. Luckily we only need one at a time. We use them on our dog who has a cyst on his front left paw that he won’t leave alone if it’s uncovered. He wears the boot 24/7. He’s gotten used to it, so it gets kicked off less often than it did in the beginning when it was new to him, but we’ve already gone through 2 and are on our third of the set. These boots obviously aren’t made for 24/7 use. We have had 2 straps break. And the third boot, which we’re on now, is wearing thin in the paw padding. If you need a 24/7 boot I would recommend spending a little more money for a better-quality design because you’ll go through 4 of these in just a couple of months.

They’re made of good quality. The velcro sticks well.Overall everything is excellent but my 4 star is because it fits big on my golden retriever. I measured the paws and with the chart I had to choose large and that’s what I did. Comes loose and turns around on her paws. Had to tighten the velcro all the way and still it moved. So did I measure wrong?Works what I wanted for to take her on my inflatable boat without getting her nails poking the boat.

Not recommended for running
I have a high energy standard poodle and we run 2.5 miles daily. This is right after the first use. I file her nails every other day and they absolutely shredded the material. The velcro is nice and they stay on, but I would only recommend this product if you are using them for summer walking, not running.

Great product at a great price!
One of my Goldens blistered her back paws playing on hot pavement right before leaving on vacation to the lake. She could barely walk. I bought some different “hiking” boots for her to wear to the lake swimming and playing on the sand. But when we came back to the condo, I put these on her and she wore them all night. They are great because they are breathable and comfortable, unlike the other boots. Most others say that they shouldn’t be worn for very long periods of time. These seemed to be fine for long periods since you can even see the little holes in the red material. Air is able to circulate in these booties. She got used to wearing them quickly. I would recommend having an extra set in case one gets wet. They seem to be very sturdy, as well. I would buy again (and I have). Just make sure you get the right size. The first set I had was an extra large, and too big for my 95 pound Golden. But she still wore them. They just dragged a bit and there was too much material in the toes. The next set I bought was a large, and they fit perfectly! Love these!

I am not giving two stars because of the quality or price-but I bought these for my German Shepherd adolescent-who seems to have trouble with cracking and dry paws-and I wanted something to put over her feet after I had put the Mushers secret or coconut oil on them so that she would have longer contact with the healing salves or moisturizing. It took her a hot second to take them off-didn’t like them ONE BIT! 🙂 She had tolerated my old socks at other times-but they would come off without fail or help-so I thought this might be the ticket…NOT.They are a bit difficult to put on without catching nails etc-which was helped by turning them mostly inside out and tucking her tootsies in, then pulling the rest up and over her feet…She submitted just fine to that being the darling that she is-but even though I had them firmly velco’d-she was not impressed.They did fit well (she had medium size), and seemed of good quality-though I wouldn’t imagine they would hold up on a mountain trail etc over time-but that was not what they were designed for and I wouldn’t do that to a dog anyhow. Was just hoping to find something to help with the dry paw problem. And yes-I give her extra fats etc and high quality doggy food-she is a VERY active dog and we live in a dry, rough environment. I’ve had to curtail her ball play or anything “repetitive” in order to alleviate the problem.

I bought these dog boots, this winter, because a friend has a large Tibetian Spaniel. She couldn’t find these boots anywhere in Billings. Her dog’s paws, we’re sore, & red, from the ice melt outsideð¥ I told her not to let BUDDY lick his paws, & get bag balm, for them. I felt sorry for BUDDY, so I went on my computer. Amazon had just what I needed, so I ORDERED them, & the skin balm. The next day she had put bag balm on Buddy’s paws, & she put heavy woolhunting socks on his legs, with rubber bands. Functionanal, but not practicalð¯ when the boots arrived, I gave them to her for half price. She was very appreciative.ð They fit him perfectly !!! These boots are perfect for my huge German Shep. Mix, he has been wearing them for 3 canadian winters with no complaints whatsoever, except they could have a little more grip (which I fixed myself with grippy stickers).Other than that, easy to put on and take off ,dries quickly ( I slip an empty paper towel roll in them to stand them up to dry and it works wonders). Just getting a tiny hole in one of them now, so I am reordering a set . Great product for dogs with thin legs and hugefeet . Highly recommend

I did look at many reviews about dog paw protection set (not just from this seller) and saw many positive comments, So I thought I would like to have some protection for my small pug on the sharp dry grass during summer/fall season. This product looks great when I received it. I can easily put it on and tight it by folding the nylon strip (it is too long though), but it worked only in a few minutes. I tried several times and eventually gave up. There are several fundamental problems for these type paw protect cover. it is very hard to keep the cover on since the dog leg near the paw are very flexible, there is no way to tightening it without potential hurting dog legs. it may work for one dog but not for all dogs since dogs have different leg length. When dog walk around, their front paws reach almost same place, so stepping on each other, putting dog in danger, either twinning the cover bottom to side or losing the cover , falling out later. Anyway, I gave up to use it, these cover may be good for big dogs, definitely not my dog.

I liked these boots…. I thought the sock upper was good. Easy to get on, not too heavy, They stayed on and seemed comfortable enough for my pooch. Certainly saved her paw pads. Although you do need to make sure they are not too tight around the dew claw when securing them.

I got it because I didn’t want to wash my puppy’s paws every time I take him out. It’s an awesome product. Easy to put on and to take off. He seems really comfy rather than the plastic ones but it’s not that durable as you think. But I would buy it again.
