I bought this to try to shut the neighbor’s dog up! This dog yaps all day long and my neighbors don’t even try to shut it up. So I got this whistle, hoping that it will make the dog be quiet. Might be my imagination but it seems to work. The dog starts yapping, I blow the whistle, It yips again, I blow it again. We do this 6 or 7 times and then it stops barking. Not sure if it’s just a coincidence or if it’s helping me but I’m loving the silence!

This whistle definitely gets my dog’s attention when she is misbehaving. The only problem is remembering to wear it all the time so it is handy when I need it. My dog likes to greet all the neighbors that walk by, by barking, sometimes scaring the passerby. We would like to break this habit, so far this whistle has worked the best. We will continue to use it and it consider it a useful training tool.
