Sturdy and an instant hit
I got this a couple months ago based on the reviews that it held up to heavy weight chonker cats going wild on it (and it being so affordable). 10/10 it is one of the best cat purchases I’ve made. It holds up to 3 6+mo old kittens attacking at once, and this is my 9yo “grumpy old man” going wild on it.I seasoned it with catnip when I first put it out and refresh it randomly. The cats stopped scratching the furniture (as much) right away. They prefer this.It was easy to assemble, and the base design is perfect. It’s stable and secure (it’s only rocked). And it looks so nice! I’m impressed and happy. The entertainment value for the cats and their people is high.

A Post Which Outperforms the Box
Having spent the last few decades with at least one, if not several cats in the household, I can proudly say that I’ve owned nearly every scratching post on the market and this one has been as good if not better than most, if not all of the others at this price point. Overall, I’d say the giant square ones with the extra-heavy base are probably the best, but they”ll run you no less than $35-$51 & if you don’t need the extra girth for an overweight regular housecat (or in my case at the time I had a 42lb wild F3 Savannah cat), then this post will surely do the trick & at $17-$19, I can hardly complain. My current cat immediately claimed the carpet area & then shortly after went for the leaves at the top of the post. She’s not yet all that interested in the balls that hang down but to each their own. Frankly, I’m just glad that I didn’t spend $20 on yet another item that she passed up to play with the cardboard box it was packaged in. Post is sturdy enough & has lasted several months now with all but one leaf completely intact.

I purchased this on October 26th. Today is November 26th. Itâs already coming apart. Itâs a really cute idea and my one cat likes it. Iâm just disappointed it barely lasted a month.

Our cats absolutely love this scratching post! The 33″ height is perfect for them to stretch out fully, and the premium sisal rope is holding up really well against their claws. Itâs also super sturdyâit doesnât topple over, even with our most energetic cat going at it.The interactive dangling balls and spring toy are a nice touch and keep them entertained for hours. Plus, itâs such a cute addition to our home décorâit doesnât look out of place at all. Highly recommend this for anyone with indoor cats!

My cat loves to stretch up high and scratch so the height of this post is good for vertical scratchers. Itâs pretty sturdy, he can climb it and paw at the leaves. The sisal rope seems to wear out faster than other posts I have, and I have to regularly tighten the little pompom on the spring back into the base, but itâs a great scratching post overall!

Big, strong, durable, and cute! My cat cant get enough. he’s about 18 pounds so i added some weights to the bottom and it works great! he can finally stretch out all the way.

-Easily assembled and good instructions-sisal rope is well attached all over-Cat took to it instantly – scratching the post and the ball on the string-base is wide enough to support itMy only change, which would have given it 5 stars, would be more weight on the base. It does have weight, but for a bigger cat, I’m not sure if it would be enough.Overall though I love it, and the cats (two boys, one 9yrs old, the other 6m) seem too as well!
