In fact, he loves it so much I had to buy a 2nd. We go to a big field and I throw 1 … he brings back and I’m ready to throw the 2nd. There can be people and dogs and he doesn’t see them. Better than a tennis ball thrower because he’s a tugger and we tug – also a good reason to have 2. It took a few throws before I got the hang of how to get great distance.It’s been an awesome training toy because I call “here” or “bring” and he brings it back. The reward can be treats but the best reward is to throw the 2nd.I recommend!

Excellent training and owner-dog toy
Have several and used for more than a year. I use them outdoors, in all kinds of weather, to train and play fetch with my German Shepherd. Yes, the rope will wear out and yes, chunks can be chewed off the ball. However, this is not a chew toy. Itâs a toy for you and your dog to play with. When the rope gets chewed through, buy some from Walmart and replace itânot a big deal. The rope lets you throw the ball much further than normal and is a helpful tool to get the ball back from your dog. Much more pleasant than handling a slobber covered ball! Iâve only had to replace them when my throws went askew into bushes, rolled into a storm drain, or were swallowed by the woods.

Great toy concept but needs work with the type of rope
Great durable ball. Its semi soft but not soft enough for chunks to be carved out with heavy chewers. The only complaint I have is the rope. The rope isnt durable and is easily frayed at the ends, like my 7 pound rat terrier u did the knot and frzyed the ends in less than 30 min supervised. Once frayed there is no way to reseal it with heat or retying it. Other than that its a great idea it just needs refinement. Better the Kong version of this type of toy. Kong has the rope part down but their ball is easily destroyed and the ball and rope can be pulled appart easily. Bottom line this toy is a great idea but needs some tweaking.

Well made, keeps my hands from getting slobber all over them.
My dog loves to fetch. Not so much bringing anything back, but she loves to fetch. This rope/ball is great for two reasons. One, I can grab the rope easily as she returns which encourages her to drop it (I donât play tug with her though I could). And, two, I donât have to grab the slobbery ball! I saw this one mentioned in a dog trainerâs video, so I found it on Amazon. The rope feels well connected. It doesnât seem like there is any âgiveâ or that itâs about to pop loose. Well made.

Not for large dogs
Definitely not worth it if you have a large or aggressive chewer type of breed. This lasted her 20 mins. The rubber ball is the only reason I’m giving it 2 stars. I guess I got what I paid for.

Our favorite tug and the one we will stick to from here on out
I have purchased a few ball tugs and this one is the most durable. My 65 lb bully mix can get a little chew time in on the ball, play a hardcore game of tug, and hasn’t managed to tear out the string or damage the ball. Both of those features make it a win. On top of that, the string is fairly durable, so with the occasional scissoring of the string in his teeth he hasn’t managed to wear through it yet in the month or so we have had this. I am sure eventually he will tear through the string but when this is your daily tug you accept that that may get accidentally damaged over time. I am really pleased and will just re-order this one in the future, not need to look for better ones from here on out. Getting the texture right for the dog is also a challenge and this one has just the right amount of give to it. It’s a win.

Not puppy proof
My 3-month-old Golden Retriever puppy (only 12 pounds) chewed through the rope part rendering it useless. She still had her baby teeth.

Habe schon zahlreiche Bälle mit Schnur verschlissen…entweder riss das Band oder der Ball löste sich auf. Dieser Ball erfüllt alle Erwartungen die ein Balljunky braucht. Er lässt sich super weit schleudern und dem Ball machen die langen Zähne meines Weimararners nichts aus ! Klare Kaufempfehlung hierfür.

Ce jouet est le préféré de mon chien. Il s’amuse tout seul avec en le prenant par la corde et en faisant rebondir la balle. Il peut la lancer et on peut jouer ensemble, il l’adore.La balle est très solide. La corde commence à s’effilocher mais de manière tout à fait normale. De plus le jouet est réparable puisque vous pouvez changer la corde quand celle-ci sera trop mâchouillÄe.Je recommande fortement ce jouet.

So I have a 2 year old Belgian malinois working dog and use this as a focus reward ball. She is an aggressive chewer must of gone through around 50 balls in last year alone. This ball we’ve had few months and still intact. I have though had to change the rope on the ball as first rope frayed within a week and came off so applied my own. Would I buy another probably not. No point buying something you have to fix within a week. if the rope comes off its just a ball really and I wouldn’t pay £12 for just a ball.
