The blanket is enormous. Are people shrinking or something? I donât want to sound like Iâm âget off my lawnâ years old (I mean, I am but still) but when I was younger, blankets averaged 72 inches long. Now Iâm seeing them top out at 60. Did the average human height drop a foot and I didnât notice? Do kids these days like having their feet freeze in the night? Iâm constantly adjusting knitting and crochet blankets from âdesigned for a hobbitâ to âdesigned for a humanâ and every electric blanket Iâve found before this runs more hobbit than human. This bad boy? At 62 inches wide, itâs longer on the short side than some are on the long side. At 84 inches long, itâs absolutely dreamy. I donât end up with a knee or a foot poking out of it in the night.The cord is amply long. I was a bit concerned because the plug is by the foot of my bed on the right, but the cord connects to the top of the blanket on the left and I didnât want it running across me, but I wanted access to the controls. I just swapped it around so the cord connects on the bottom right and the control switch had more than enough wire to come up to where I needed it and then fold down to being plugged in.The controls give you many options. You can set the temperature and time until it shuts off and you can see the temperature rise until it hits what you set it to. Itâs really fast. As with a previous electric blanket, it took my orange cat less than five minutes to figure out how to turn it on for a warm napping spot.The material is soft and comfortable. The blanket is absolutely beautiful. There is nothing here not to love.

If This Doesn’t Warm You, Your Soul Is Cold
Listen, this is just me saying, but if this wonderfully soft, electric blanket doesn’t succeed in keeping you toasty, well, maybe there’s a part of you that’s cold and unfeeling and doesn’t care that the blanket has easy access controls and heats relatively quickly. Maybe your cold soul doesn’t appreciate the incredibly soft, lightweight material this blanket is made of. Or the great color. Well, a cold soul will do that. Seriously, this blanket is pretty good. Left it on my bed to warm it before I got in and found it nice and toasty. Good blanket for the price. Cord length is also a good size.

Itâs faulty
Iâve had my blanket just over a year. I bought it for my grandfather who was battling pancreatic cancer. After he passed, I brought it home and have used it nightly. It burned my skin over night! I have a burn/blister the size of a quarter today! It has very localized extreme heat. I will be tossing it! Be careful and only expect about 12 months of usage.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I smelled burning plastic from the blanket and this is the wiring that I pulled out. Melted, burnt, and could have cause a fire.UPDATE – the company was very quick to reach out to me and offer a refund which I was not expecting. Top notch customer service. Minus the issue I had with my blanket, it was soft, heated quickly and stayed very warm.
