Itâs perfect height and makes her not eat as fast itâs definitely a good pattern if you would for the size of the bowl. Medium to large dogs not small dogs they would find it easier I think.

excellent feeder
it took a bit of work putting it together because i did it by myself. i just needed another hand, or am just uncoordinated, it is sturdy and sleek. once you put it together, the entire unit stays together; the bowl on top is attached to the base which is a tad inconvenient if you store the food in another location. i will be purchasing a second for my other dog as the other purchased was unstable junk. i have ridgebacks and it is elevated but i would like it to be a bit taller but stability is key.Update: i later realized that the dish easily comes off the stand. even better!

Inconsistent locking it into place but still really like it
My poor abused, starved rescue puppy needed to slow down to eat. I tried other slow bowls but they were too intricate and she was getting frustrated. Also think itâs important for big dogs to have raised bowls so I purchased this. Definitely easier for her to eat from it. It can be tricky to get it to lock in and thatâs my only complaint.

Great for a senior dog
I really like that this dish is elevated and a slow feeder in one. My senior dog has arthritis as well as tummy troubles so this makes eating so much more comfortable for him. Assembly was very easy but keep in mind to not tighten the wingnuts all the way down. They need to be on just enough to hold the legs in their slots. I tightened the wingnuts after I had all the legs where they needed to be. The bowl just locks into place. I lift it after I think it’s locked in because sometimes it doesn’t go all the way. The legs and the dish wash up easily, too. I recommend this feeder, especially for mobility challenged pets or those that inhale their food instead of chewing it.
