My cat has quite a few characteristics that would normally be labeled as a dog. She growls at strangers and other animals who get too close to our house, she meows alot and is super vocal when she wants our attention, and she’s obsessed with balls, but not just any balls, fluffy balls. These are fluffy enough for her, but not too fluffy where I have to deal with constantly cleaning them. She throws them around herself and brings them to me asking for me to throw them. I can easily grasp them with my toes to throw them since they’re squishy, they’re light enough to be thrown across the room easily without much effort, they dont hurt when I step/kick them, and I will probably keep buying them because I can never seem to find them unless she brings me one. These are by far her favorite toys. When I finally start finding them and put them in the cat toy drawer, she DIGS THESE out. I’ll probably buy more for her for christmas since she’s obsessed. I love that they’re not expensive and even though they get played with alot they’re still in tact. If I dont throw them during the day, I’ll typically hear her meowing at 1 or 2 am to ask me to throw them. She runs so fast after these (sometimes she crashes into stuff) and then when she brings them back she meows at me to throw them again. I’ll be testing them out by running them threw the washer soon which I’m excited about. My other cat, who is truly a cat can care less about these fluffy balls. I know my review doesn’t really flow, but its 2:30am and do you know what I’m doing right now? I’m throwing her one of these balls because I didn’t throw them during the day. We had a cuddle day and it was great. But I really wish I would have thrown the balls earlier. I want to sleep, but her little purr meows are so cute I must throw the ball again.

My cat had favorite toys before I got these but she doesn’t want to play with anything else. She gets so much exercise and enjoyment from these.

Ethical Does Not Mean Durable
The price is good and my cat really likes them, but they are not durable. My cat delights in tearing them up and doesn’t seem to have any difficulty doing that. So the claim that they are durable is questionable. I haven’t actually seen her do it, but the ball gets smaller every day and I find little piles of ethical yarn nearby. When it reaches swallowing size, I have to toss it out. We are already on puff number 3 a little more than a month after buying. She has some “unethical” and no doubt toxic pompoms that are actually more shred-resistant. The good news is that she does not eat the shredded pieces, so that’s a plus. I might buy again if the price stays low because she likes them and doesn’t eat them.

A couple of my cats love to carry around their ball when it gets somewhere they don’t like. It is hard to find a ball small enough and soft enough for this to be an easy task. These yarn balls are super soft and pliable, making it really easy for them to run around with in their mouth. And the way they are put together makes it safe for little kitty teeth, unlike some other knitted soft balls that can get caught on their little teeth. I got them as an Amazon Add-on, and that was totally worth it. I’ve only given them one in the last three months, so I’m sure the 4 will last me all year.

I had purchased other balls for my cat that she tore apart and were filled with plastic, which I wasn’t a fan of her chewing on. These balls are great and will be difficult for her to tear apart, but just the right size and weight for her to dribble and carry around. So much fun!
