Have had it for a while now. My cat was using it a good bit in warmer weather but not so much now that it’s winter, as he now prefers a warmer cubby hole type hideout. Totally understandable as this is more exposed and breezy. I expect it will get more use again as the weather warms, but in the meantime the “under hammock” area is where the cat toys go, so it’s used as a play zone when it’s not a lounge zone. Product was easy to put together & seems solid so expect it will last quite a while.

Cat Loves Bed; I Hated Assembling It
I needed a new hammock-type cat bed for the outdoor catio. My cat’s old bed had a wood frame that was falling apart, so I decided to try a bed with a metal frame. The bed is sturdy and well made and my cat really loves it, but the bed was very difficult to put together, so I am knocking off one star. You have to slide two arched metal pieces together to form the round base and line up all the openings for the screws (and you have to do it twice). If I lined the holes up on one side, the other side popped out of alignment and it was impossible for me to slide the pieces together tightly and evenly. I finally resorted to some gentle tapping with a rubber mallet to get the pieces to slide together completely. Once that was accomplished, the rest was relatively easy.

The instructions were a little hard to understand because they are just pictures, but once we got it together we realized how strong and robust the bed is. It is 100% cat approved. The bed itself is some kind of strong mesh that is breathable. The velcro is very strong. It can easily hold 4 adult cats that like to chill together!Edit: I forgot I bought this, I tripped over it this morning and landed right on it. My 214 pound a$s bounced off of it like a trampoline! It can definitely take a beating and the weight limit is way more than what it states!!!

Our cat is extremely cautious and does not like changes or new things in the house. During a recent trip home, we noticed that she enjoyed sitting on top of the suitcase, which creates a sunken effect. Her mother used to enjoy sitting in a cat hammock, but our girl refused to try it because it felt unstable to her. This cat hammock, however, is stable; nonetheless, if you have hardwood floors, it’s advisable to place a rug underneath, as it will slide when the pet jumps off. Assembling it required some effort since no instructions were provided. Overall, it has been working well so far and gives our little girl another place to lounge. My cats seem to like it! I bought it for my older cat because he only has 3 legs so sometimes itâs hard for him to jump up higher places and he seems to like it so far! It was fairly easy to assemble. Some parts were a little difficult to push into place but with a little force it all fit together. The material of the bed seems like high quality thick material so it doesnât look like it will wear easily. The instructions were very easy to follow. There is a slight smell when you take it out of the box(as stated in the manual) but that should go away. Overall Iâm happy with my purchase

It got an initial sniff then was ignored for a week. She got onto it one warm afternoon and it’s now a regular part of her circuit of sleeping spaces. It seems comfortable and she sinks gently into it with plenty of room to stretch. It’s well made, was fairly easy to assemble, and I’m happy I purchased it for her. Wish I could get a human sized one!
