Great product-much cheaper than replacing a whole scratching post
i thought that I was going to have to remove the rope from Mouse’s scratching post & glue on new rope, but I found this & decided to try it. I did have to remove enough rope to fit it, but Mouse had made that easy. Nice wide & strong Velcro. This XL scratching post cover looks good & feels sturdy.

I was looking for replacements for my current posts. I wanted to steer clear of anything with twine. I wasn’t fond of the mess the kitties created as well as catching them eating the twine, only to throw it up later. I happened to come across these. I decided to buy only one at first and see how it did. I attached before and after pics. I’m sure you will agree that it looks very good. I think doing this gives it a very clean look. And the price, in my opinion is very reasonable. This particular post is a large. The wrap fits around the it snuggly. You don’t need to cut out any of the twine. Just wrap it around the post as it is. The cats took to it right away. I’m sure it helped, that I had rubbed some catnip into it before wrapping the post. I highly recommend this!

Good while it lasts – 3 months
I was so excited to find this product. I had a similar wrap around sisal type mat from IKEA that lasted for years. It finally wore out and I hadnât been able to find a replacement. I bought this carpet version and it arrived Sept 3rd. It is now Nov 5th and the mat is completely worn out and full of holes. The cats obviously loved it (I can unfortunately say their claws are sharper than ever). 3 months seems a little short of a life for this product. To be honest if I canât find anything else I may buy it again anyway though. The price is right, you just get what you pay for and I hate throwing things to the landfill. Hope this review helps someone.

My cat uses them frequently. It does not fit very well around either of my cat trees and I have to re-velcro often, but it does its purpose and she doesn’t utilize my furniture as a scratch pad.

Lasted two weeks
Looks great. Fits perfectly. Matches color of the cat tree better than expected. Best price for product. Cats destroyed it within two weeks. I ordered a replacement. I guess Iâll just keep ordering replacements as long as theyâll keep giving them to me. Iâll have to figure out a better long term solution, especially since I have 4 of these. You get what you pay for.

I have a larger version of this for the corner of my couch that is secured there by fabric pins and it’s held up great, so I bought these to cover the bigger posts my cat absolutely destroyed. I had cut off the hanging fabric and cardboard but I think it would have been better if I’d left the excess on to fill up the space. The posts were shorter than the fabric pieces, so I folded the cover down and that actually worked very well. The velcro continues to hold well and keep the posts covered. My cat did seem to think the change of carpet type a bit odd for a bit, but she now uses the new covers freely. You can see the difference between the carpet types in the pics: The new covers are ‘hard’ and will last much longer. The original is thin and soft and really took a beating quickly. I’m very pleased with this solution and do recommend this brand of cat wrap around furniture/post cover. It works and holds! It stands up well to abuse. My cat likes it and I like her using it rather than the furniture. Highly recommended!

Cat would go near it
I bought this to cover up the shredded sisal rope that is on the my scratching post. Since the diameter was not quite wide enough to go around the post I was creative and able to secure it onto the post.My cat wouldn’t go near it. He would scratch only below on the old sisal rope. At least for my cat it was not an acceptable substitute. I should have spent the money on new sisal rope.

Fit their cat tree perfectly. Alot easier and less costly than buying replacement rope. Definitely a good temp fix until I have more time. Cats love it which is more important.

These were a great find. Iâm a foster mom and sometimes I have 10 kittens at a time. These covered all the frayed sisal rope and makes the cat tree look better without buying a new one. It will only fit the smaller poles it didnât fit around a cat tree with a thicker post. They have a strong Velcro closure and never comes apart while they scratch. Good buy in my opinion. You can see in the pic the reg sisal rope and the one that has the replacement cover on it
