It makes my dog happier.
I do like this bowl because it does cause my dog to work at getting her food. She seems more content and less restless.I like that the shelves come off for easier cleaning.I would buy this again.

The Corgi Loves This Puzzle Feeder
Our Corgi really likes this puzzle feeder and looks forward to her meals when they are served in this instead of her metal bowl. For several weeks she tended to not be interested in her food until we introduced puzzle feeders. With this GARDNER Pet Slow Feeder Dog Bowl she gets excited when she sees me preparing her meal. She loves rooting through the various levels to make sure she finds every last piece of kibble and meat treats. This feeder is easy to clean as the levels come out. Being able to remove the levels means the levels can be changed around or even leave out one or two levels to make it easier for a dog that doesnât want the most difficult challenge. Our Corgi loves having all three levels in the bowl that need to be moved around to reach the fourth and bottom level. The bowl has good suction cups on the bottom that hold the bowl in place on a hard surface floor, like our tile floor. This is helpful when the dog is pushing on the levels to move them around. We have had one problem with this puzzle bowl, which Iâve had with other puzzle bowls Iâve tried. Our dog chews the top of the peg. My photo shows what she did the first time she used the bowl. Fortunately all the levels were in the bowl because I can no longer remove the levels. We continue to use this feeding bowl because our pup likes it so much. I do have to stay with her while she eats and promptly remove the bowl when she is finished so the pup doesnât chew on it further. We have another puzzle bowl we use with the same issue. I do wish someone would come up with a metal post and cap so aggressive chewers canât easily ruin the bowl. Iâd be willing to pay more to have that feature. Except for the vulnerability of the center post, this is a very good product and lots of daily fun for our dog. Both our dog and I recommend this puzzle feeder. If your dog likes to chew, keep an eye on the dog while they eat.

Gardner Pet Slow Feeder Dog Bowl
We have a Shiba Inu that gets bored easily, so I’m always looking for new puzzle toys for her. We haven’t tried the slow feeder bowls because they’re usually shallow and designed for wet food, and she’s not a speed eater, so we leave her dish out and let her self-pace throughout the day. I saw this bowl that is designed to work with wet or dry food, and it holds plenty of dry food for her day’s supply. It also functions as a puzzle of sorts with the 4 levels. So I thought we’d give it a try.She loves it! We gave her food in it yesterday and she was clearly intrigued with moving the different levels around. When she finished in the evening, she picked the whole thing up and brought it to the kithcen – something she has never done with her bowl before. I wasn’t sure what that meant, so this morning, I put some of her food in her regular bowl, and some in this new puzzle bowl. To my surprise, she went straight to the puzzle bowl first!I’m sure it’s the novelty effect in play, but tbh, that’s what I’m looking for. We can cycle this bowl in and out of her daily routine to change things up a bit for her. If I could find another with a different configuration, I’d add it in the rotation as well. It’s really a great idea! It’s a little on the pricey side for a dog bowl, but when you combine bowl and cognitive enrichment into one package, that makes it worth a little more than just a bowl alone. The bowl is bigger than I thought it would be, which for our purpose is great. If you’ve got a dog that needs to be kept busy, I’d recommend this; it should help.

Well constructed.. not really a puzzle, but prob will slow down a fast eater
The bowl itself is well constructed. The three layers are loosely installed so they will freely swing around. So its nice so the levels won’t get stuck, but its so simple that the dog doesn’t really take all that time to figure it out.If you want to slow down your dog eating kibble, this may be for you. If you are looking for a “puzzle” i’d look somewhere else.

Make Food Fun Again
I got this for our mut that likes to wolf down his food. He chewed his last slow feeder in half when we accidentally left it outside with him all day. This one feels quite a bit more sturdy, so hopefully it will last. I won’t leave him with this unsupervised because I could see him getting super excited with the large spinning plates. They’re large enough that I worry about how much leverage he’ll be able to get underneath them. It feels reasonably solid, so hopefully they last!

Dog likes it
I have used this a few times with my dog, with just dry food and with a mix of wet and dry. She got a lot more out of it when I put the wet food on the bottom part of the bowl. I didn’t want to put it on the revolving parts for fear she’d use too much force trying to lick it off and damage the parts, so I just put dry kibble on those “platforms.’The platforms snap on and are secure and can snap off for ease of washing. Overall, I am happy with this bowl and like providing my dog with new stimulation which this bowl has.

great for large breeds
this is a HUGE puzzle bowl, which is perfect for my German Shepherd. it can easily hold 3c with the puzzle platforms in, and likely double that if you remove them. the platforms are really easy to take on and off, but a clever or determined dog can also easily pop them off (mine has several times). the only thing I don’t love is that you can’t put the platforms in in a different order, which I did take 1 star off for, but that’s a personal preference really. the ridges on the platforms and the bottom of the bowl would be great for wet food, tho I don’t know how well the plastic platforms would hold up to strong licking. overall this bowl would be an excellent introduction to puzzle toys as its fairly easy for the dog to figure out and manipulate!

Big bowl size
Big bowl size. Not just a puzzle. Perfect for our growing puppy or a full size large dog.Has suction cups on the bottom to keep it in place. The colorful layers do not lock in place. They keep spinning. Itâs fantastic.
