    Best by Far!
I’ve tried several other walking tools without success. My dog is an enthusiastic walker. Prefers to go full speed. Does not care in which direction. Also prone to lunging at critters. Not one for sprinting myself (or darting about), I’ve been trying to reel her in to a reasonable pace.Things that did not work:Nylon choke collar. Non-starter. Without the metal barbs, she really went for it. Would’ve asphyxiated herself if I let her. Same with the nylon regular collar.Metal, prong, choke collar. This is what her foster recommended. It slowed her down a bit. But she would still pull on it during all types of leash training techniques. She loved it. Neighbors were intimidated by her in it. I found it slightly terrifying. She actually impaled herself in the front of the neck (did not seem to notice though). Still comes running anytime she hears it jingle though.Halti nylon snout harness. This immobilized her completely. As in, take a few steps and lye on the ground and furiously paw it off. Tried the suggestion of giving a nice treat when putting it on. The few times we did get going, people seemed terrified of her (probably assuming it was to keep her from biting). She went on a sad walking strike and management gave in after a day or two.Harness with wide, padded V on the chest and two clips and attachment ring on the shoulders. I originally got this as a car safety harness and didn’t notice the front clip. Turned out to be pretty good for discouraging pulling when clipped into the front ring. But the whole chest piece would pull to the side if she got overly enthusiastic. Really hated putting it on and taking it off (small head hole and big ears). Most difficult to keep clean (so much surface area). This is her go-to car harness because of the padding. This harness. Total life saver. Caught my eye when I stumbled on a YouTube review. Just by looking at the design, I could tell this was going to work much better. Even when tightly strapped in, the extremely wide head hole makes her happy to take it on and off (no alluring jingle though). Slack-leash at walking pace with this one. Possible to pull to the side, but only slightly because of the connection to regular collar. Shoulder ring is excellent with the double-sided leash. Only a very small amount of nylon to clean. She’s much better on the regular collar only now.My only complaint is the collar clip has rusted pretty significantly after only a couple months (but quite a few trips into the ocean). At the end of the day, I can’t believe this was only $7. I would pay a lot more for high-quality hardware.

    Works Like A Charm
I am amazed at how well this worked! I have a 7 month old large breed puppy who was having a hard time leash training. She has gotten so strong that she can drag me with no problem. I’ve been working with her like crazy trying to get her to relax and be calmer on a leash without much luck. I decided to try the Halti harness because I have used the Halti head collar a long time ago on a previous dog (the head collar I own doesn’t fit the new puppy). I was amazed at how well it worked! It was such a relief for myself and my other dog, who walks with us most of the time, our first walk with the new harness on was such a stress free relaxing walk I could hardly believe she was the same dog. I bought the large size since she is still growing, I had to adjust it down as small as it goes for a perfect fit, it was easy to adjust. She doesn’t have a problem wearing it and it is very quick and easy to put on her. It seems well constructed and durable. I clip the leash to the front ring so if she does pull it simply turns her back towards me which is not what she wants so she gives up and goes back to walking nicely with me and the other dog. After a week of using it so far I have already noticed that she barely ever tries to pull now because she’s realized what the outcome will be. I am so glad I bought this and I highly recommend it for anyone who has a dog that pulls on the leash. I am going to buy a second one for my other dog who is not usually a puller, but she is 120 lbs and very strong, the only time she pulls on the leash is if she sees a squirrel (her favorite thing to chase).

    Good Harness that Works Well
I have a 7 month, 55lb pitbull mix and this harness is slightly big on him. I chose the Medium size instead of the Small size because the straps on the Small one looked too thin IMO to withstand the pulling of a pitbull. The strap part that goes around his stomach has at least 6 inches of excess, so that the end of the strap drags on the ground. This is easily fixable by either cutting off the excess or taking the end and slipping it into the buckle that is used to make the straps longer/shorter. The strap that goes across the chest has a clip that you attach to the collar. If you don’t clip it to the collar, your dog WILL slip out of the harness when it tries to pull/resist. If you don’t like your dog to wear a collar, then this harness might not work well for you. I’ve used it for a few months now and it has held up well. I like that there is a ring on the back of the harness, so you can hook your leash to the chest area or the back area or both (if you have a leash that has a clip at both ends). Petco has this harness for $20-22 in store, but I got it on Amazon for $10-11.

Nice harness but not for the escape artist
I have 2 of this harnesses, one for my beagle and one for my corgi. Works great with the beagle, but our corgi is a bit of a escape artist and twisted himself in such a way that he got out of the harness while outside (even with the harness attached to his collar, but admittedly his collar was slightly loose). Fortunately, we were able to get him right away but if he had run to the street it could have been a dangerous situation. At first I thought maybe I had the harness too loose so I tightened it but today I took him for a walk and realized that the harness had become loose again. So if you have a escape artist make sure that you check every time you go out to make sure it is tight enough. It does help with pulling when attached to the front
