Easy to use and from a Finnish Company!
We love it!Easy to use, especially when training agility in the yard or on walks with a leash. Keeping one hand free is a necessity for us as we have two dogs. Slices cheese well, and our pups take it straight from the dispenser. My dogs are small and at first the slices were too large for them as a training treat. I got around that by putting a skinnier chunk of cheese in the device.Smart design. Easy to clean in the dishwasher. Do not leave cheese in it and store it in the refrigerator for later! Dry cheese is difficult to remove. The only thing I donât like is that you must use it until empty.

This is what I like to call a total piece of garbage. The one thing I can say for it is that the plastic is nice and strong. But the metal spring inside of it is cheap, low gauged metal. It will not last long. And that spring is the only piece of metal in the whole device. It pushes the hotdog up, then shoves it out through the non-serrated plastic rectangle. The grease from the hotdog runs down the front of it, meaning you hands quickly become covered, the slices are not even, or neat. All it needed was a serrated or sharpened metal plate at the top, inside the unit, and a sturdier spring and I might have kept it. It would have still been overpriced, but it would have done what I wanted it to do.$30 bucks for this piece of crap is highway robbery.

Really want to like it, but it is very impractical
I had high hope for this. My plan is to use it to train my dog loose leash walking. It has been difficult to deliver high value treats while keeping my hands clean during our walks and I hoped this would help.I tried this once with Costco hot dogs. I had to cut the hot dogs in half for length, and then had to cut it in half lengthwise because it is too thick for the hole. The dispensing doesn’t cleanly slice through the hot dog casing. The dispenser cannot be taken apart to clean.However none of the above cons are deal killers for me. What really kills it is the low capacity.As soon I started using it on my walk, I noticed I had to refill it very frequently. So every 10 treats or so I had to stop, twist open the bottom, fish for a new piece from my bag, insert it and twist the bottom shut. I find it utterly intolerable. I refilled it 2 more time and gave up. I think I walked 2-3 blocks before I quit. I could have used a slightly longer piece of hotdog, but not by much. And it’d leave a shorter piece on the other end so I’d gain nothing overall.I went back to biting tiny piece of hot dogs off and feeding my dog that way. At least I can keep walking the entire hour.This is not returnable unfortunately. I don’t foresee myself using this ever again.

Bought this treat dispenser because my GSD mix doesnât take treats from the hands gently and this device is awesome for that. I recommend it to anyone. We use sausages and it dispense the right amount without the mess. User friendly, functional, clean, and fun to use.

Dont bother it makes a mess
The product does not cut anything that Iâve tried, and it very well. Iâve tried hotdogs, dried hotdogs, and other items, and it basically just makes a mushy mess not the perfect treat shown. Do yourself a favor and just cut hotdogs with a knife and put them in a pouch and use them as you need them. Also, there is no discernible click of any kind just the mechanism moving. Which is not useful as a training tool.

Helpful for Training with Rheumatoid Arthritis
I have RA, and bought this product to help with training recalls.The good:- The entire unit is super easy to clean!- The trigger depresses easily, even with poor hand strength and motor dexterity.- I donât have to touch slimy hot dog pieces.The bad:- Loading it can be difficult. When my RA is flared up and my hands are swollen, I canât always manage it. I get around this by pre-loading the dispenser and keeping it in a baggie in the fridge.- The pieces are large. I only use these for âjackpotâ rewards, and deduct the calories from my dogsâ meals.- The dispenser could look like a gun from a distance, an important consideration for those of us in the US (especially Black individuals, who already face major threats from systemic racism in our police).Overall, this is a decent product that I find helpful in specific contexts. I donât see a lot of wide uses for it, but itâs a helpful tool in my toolbox and is well designed.

Great idea! Great with strong cheese. Works well to protect my fingers from sharky dogs, but could be better made. Would love to see this product made a little more sturdy. I keep waiting for it to break.

Feels cheap, itâs hard to insert treats as you have to be careful to align the spring properly. It becomes practically useless when you are out because the capacity is too small and you need to refill it multiple times per training session.Horribly overpriced. Would have been unhappy with the build even if it was â¬10. Not well designed as mentioned above and the product is essentially a plastic casing with a spring.The cherry on top is that you cannot return this product. I tried to refund it the first day I used it and was informed by Amazon that there was no return policy on this product. It almost feels like a scam. I now have a â¬29.99 piece of plastic sitting at home that is unsuitable for use in training.Be warned, donât buy it unless they change their return policy. Always worth a try but it is too expensive if you canât return it.
