Granted, I’ve only used this warmer for two weeks, but every day of the last two weeks has been well below freezing.In that time, my dependent feral has not missed a meal, and the others who come to nibble have also had the benefit of unfrozen leftovers when the feral is done.It is such a relief to be able to offer more than kibble in winter. The cats even have water that doesn’t turn into a block of ice.I remove the food in the morning and unplug the warmer, so it’s on for about 14 hours a day.I have seen some reviews that complain about the depth of the bowls, but I fill it with several cans of food, and the cats eat it right down to the bottom with no trouble. The bowls are wide enough for all but the largest cats to stick their entire faces in without disturbing their whiskers.If the warmer should suddenly stop working in the next few weeks, I’ll change my review, but for now, it’s perfect.

Perfect Choice
This is perfect in all ways including size for all the critters that come to drink (& eat) on my porch. PA winters can be harsh & the water was constantly freezing. Now they can get fresh water every day & I don’t have to continually bring them in to thaw out or worry about spills because the base has some weight & is very sturdy. I have possums, cats & skunks coming & between these 2 dishes, there’s enough water for all. They’re very easy to clean too.

It is great for keeping the wet cat food and water from freezing in extreme cold weather. Only thing is the cat food side, gets warm enough that it tends to dry out the food on the bottom.
