Warm food in the coldest weather
I feed several outside cats and with the weather turning colder I had to worry about their wet food freezing. After looking at several alternatives, I decided to purchase this one.I already have a heated water bowl so I am using both sides of this unit for wet food. The bowls are deep, but wide enough that the kitties don’t get whisker fatigue from brushing against the inside of the bowl. The bowls are good quality, heavy polished stainless steel and are removable for easy cleaning. The cord is metal covered so no critter can chew thru it, and the cord is a nice length. Since the heating elements are enclosed in the plastic base, there is no risk of shockThe food is kept at a good temperature, which makes it more appetizing to my kitties. It seems to cope well with low temperatures. This product is amazing!
I had my doubts that this bowl would work with how cold it gets here. It was 2 degrees and hadn’t been over 15 degrees for days now but the water has not frozen one bit! The removable stainless steel bowls make it easy to keep clean and the larger size of the bowls helps keep food/ water safe, clean, and warm for the neighborhood strays. The longer cord makes it very versatile and the plug itself is a regular two pouring plug so fits most outlets. Very good purchase and the price was very affordable.

This is a well made product and works very well. For dogs and most animals it is great. But, as others have pointed out, the bowl shape is difficult for cats. We feed outdoor cats in MN and they all struggle with the deep bowls and vertical walls. They figure it out but they canât really get the food at bottom well.It does keep the water and food from freezing at believe zero temps and seems well built.

This heated outdoor cat bowl heats exactly the way I hoped, so is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! 1st comment is about the HEAT. The other night it was -9 here in the northern US and there was no frost around the side used for water, which was lukewarm. The other side keeps the wet food, that’s on top of dry food, warm so it doesn’t freeze and is ready to eat. I previously used single round green heated dishes from the local hardware store. They emitted very low heat, so the water dish had frost on the edge and the wet food was frozen. 2nd comment is the double bowls are great because they can be INDIVIDUALLY REMOVED to be filled or wiped out. 3rd comment is that this heated cat bowl CAN BE USED WITH OUTDOOR EXTENTION CORDS when other heated dishes can’t. 4th comment is this dish is AFFORDABLY PRICED. It costs less than one of the individual heating dishes I first tried.

Durable and easy to clean
We have a significant number of feral cats in our valley, and they love to hunt in our backyard and play in the catnip growing wild on the edge of the field. We keep water out for them, especially during the winter. These bowls have never frozen over, and I love that theyâre stainless steel and easy to clean. Weâve also seen raccoons, a possum, and even a skunk come for a drink, plus the local blue jays and cardinals. As an added bonus, our indoor cats are constantly entertained by the visitors.

The Cats Are Happy
I feed a couple of stray cats and have a drinking station for the warm months. I’d noticed the elderly cat was using it quite a bit and wanted something for the winter. This works nicely and so far has kept the water from freezing. I use both bowls for water since I think more than the two cats are using it.

Iâm sorry to say that this item does not keep food and water even remotely warm.Within two hours both bowls were completely frozen.I was really hoping the ferals could enjoy some wet food during the winter but not with this setup!I canât send review unless I give it one star so I will say it got here fast , but also one bowl had a sight dent that went clear to the other side!!

Good product
I am so great full for this product. I ordered this heated cat bowl approximately 2 months ago in anticipation of the cold weather for my feral/stray cats. This morning I went out to clean up the bowls and noticed the plug is pulling away from the cord (see photo). My concern is obviously a fire hazard. I am a little disappointed that only after minimal use this is happening. I am retired and on a fixed income and unable to buy another one at this time. Since I only had this product a short time I am giving a 3 star review.UPDATE: I reached out to the company and they are sending me a new heated cat bowl at no cost. For this reason I updated my rating to 5 stars. If you are feeding feral cats this is one of the best items you can buy. Well worth the money.

This product really makes my life easier looking after the stray cat that refuses to come inside. He wonât eat the food out of it because the bowl is too deep but he enjoys the water in our cold Ontario temperatures. Iâm glad I found this in time for winter. The product is sturdy and easy to clean. The electrical cord is a decent length and sturdy.

Bought this outdoor heated pet bowl for our little stray cat to keep her watered and fed over the winter months, but she has since decided that inside our home is where she would like to stay. This item, however, has not gone to waste as I’ve set it out on our front porch to feed our local ferals as we have quite a lot in our little town. The bowl does what it should – keeps water and food from freezing, but there are a few things I feel should be mentioned concerning the quality of this bowl…-Upon opening the parcel, I was disappointed to find that the bowls had very clearly been used. It was obviously a return passed along to me, which I normally would not care about, however, the bowls had “ring lines” from previous water levels as well as little rust spots in the stainless steel, which I was not able to do anything about. I don’t believe that the bowls will last very long, they will most likely rust out in a year or two. (Photo Included)-The bowls are very deep, which isn’t ideal for cats – this is better suited for a large breed dog. To navigate this I have floated smaller bowls (with the same circumference) into them, which worked out better to avoid further rusting of the original bowls. (Photo Included)-In Autumn when temps fluctuate, you may find that on warmer days wet cat food will actually “cook”. Wet pate becomes a dry, crispy patty, and shreds become jerky. This hasn’t seemed to disappoint the feral cat community, but our little stray diva certainly turned her nose up to it, demanding fresh stuff instead. Having a temp control would be a great upgrade for this product. I will certainly shop for that the next time around.Overall, this product does keep food and water from freezing, but if you’re looking specifically for cats, temp control, or a long-lasting, sturdy product, maybe look at a different brand.

I would have kept this, however the dishes are very deep, too deep to put food in for one feral cat. This would be better if it were labelled as a dog dish, or if you are feeding multiple cats, out of this dish. The product itself was nice, so if youre looking for big dishes for outdoor, this would be a good fit.
