I was looking for a product with the “always-on” function and found it! I use this in my dog’s crate while I’m at work all day. My heat doesn’t work very well, and I don’t want to leave a space heater on. It isn’t HOT like a human heating pad, it gives a comfortable warmth. I can’t attest to the cord’s durability; my dog isn’t a chewer.

Perfect for my furbabies
I bought this as a replacement of a heated pad I literally used nonstop for 12 years! I love how they offer various sizes. I got medium as sometimes my kitties snuggle together. It took a few days for my girls to âacceptâ this new pad. Cats as you may know are curious, cautious and donât like change. I placed their blankets over top for a few weeks so they recognized their scents. At first it was something to inspect. Something was âdifferentâ. I wasnât sure if they liked it as the mother of my girls was the one who would sleep on it the most. She began to avoid it. Maybe being this unit had adjustable temperature controls, I had made it too hot so I adjusted the temps. (My other one had no varying control) Lo and behold she began to lay on it more as well as my other girls. I believe theyâll use it more once I find the âsweet spot.â The cover is thinner than I thought but it is very soft. I love the texture. Itâs definitely warm and with the weather getting chillier I donât have to worry, when the temps drop at night, that my girls will be toasty warm. I like how the control has varying temperatures. I recommend this brand and would purchase again if needed. The size and price was right.

Best pet purchase to date
This well-built item works as itâs supposed to work. Add a layer of flannel inside the sleeveâone layer, two layers, or moreâfor finer heat control and comfort for pets. The thermostat functions perfectly and regulates the temperature to constant, ideal settings. Bought mine for my cat, and she loves it in the wintertime. Buying another to place under her cat cave.

Purrrrrefect for my two large kitties
Ordered the medium size and it fits both my boys! Iâve been leaving the temp on the lowest (80F) or 85F for most/all of the day. Really great for these cold winter days.

Photo not accurate; It’s NOT cushioned.
Here are my observations:1) They really tried to make it look like it is cushioned/padded in the photos for this item. It is NOT. No padding at all; it’s flat. You’ve got the vinyl heating pad covered in one layer of thin, synthetic fabric.2) The lowest heat setting is 80 degrees, but it feels a lot hotter than that. I bought two, and it was the same with both. Too hot for cats, even at the lowest setting, and even when a couple layers of blanket are placed on top of the heating pad.3) The wires seems to have a junction of some sort near the middle of the heating pad. There is a very noticeable bump. Wouldn’t be bad if it was near the edge, but it’s right near the middle, where the cat would be lying directly on the bump. I bought two, and it was the same with both. I’ve bought other brands of heating pads which don’t have this problem.4) The only reason I am giving it 3 starts and not lower is because the cover is removable and the cord is wrapped quite well in the first 1.5 feet or so (to prevent chewing). I wish they would wrap the cord the whole way.I am returning the two that I bought.
