Not sure what I was thinking 16 ounces were but for some reason I expected these bowls to be larger. They do indeed hold 2 cups though, almost up to the rim but they do hold it. They are good quality, made of sugarcane, sturdy and would work fine for on the go or even storing them in the trunk for convenience when out and about. Luv the leakproof feature, don’t have to worry about the bowl getting mushy when wet. I use them myself for snacks, etc. not sure if I’m supposed to reuse them but when they are not damaged I do, I just wipe them out so they are ready for the next use. I call that recycling to the max!

This product was marketed as a disposable pet food bowl, so I’ll review it in that way for now.Not a big fan personally of always doing the dishes (my pet’s or my own), so I found these very helpful; particularly when it comes to giving my pet wet food. It can handle a 13- oz can of food very well. There’s also the added convenience of putting cling film over the bowl and sticking it in the fridge if their food isn’t finished.With that said, like most biodegradable tableware, it doesn’t hold up to liquids for extended amounts of time; be it thick or thin gravies. While it doesn’t completely break down, the bowl gets very soggy, so I either add another bowl under it if I know my pet will be eating again soon or just transfer the food to another bowl altogether.Reviewing these bowls in a general sense, they seem the same as biodegradable bowls marketed for human food, so I may use this bowl myself too.In short: good bowl, convenient, five stars.
