GREAT FOOTBALL!!
This football throws extremely well. It has a good weight and balance to it and you can get a great spiral on it. The texture if really good and grippy, until there is too much dog slobber on it and then, well you will throw some ducks.My German Shepherd loves Jolly brand balls and has put thousands and thousands of puncture holes in our Jolly balls over the years! Just for perspective, my dog will pop a regular tennis ball in one or two bites for fun, but our Jolly balls have lasted for years.This football is the typical Jolly ball formula, where there is no air pressure inside the ball. The ball’s shape is formed when the plastic is molded, so you can basically put a million holes in this ball and it will still be perfectly shaped and you can throw it. It will however occasionally get crushed partially flat, but you can easily flex it and it regains its football shape. We have several jolly balls (with the handle, soccer, and this football). They are all amazing and have lasted a very long time.You must realize that these are not intended to be indestructible and can be torn apart in 30 seconds if you dog’s intent is to rip it apart. I use this as a “attended” toy. I pull this out and we play with it and then I put it away. At no time does my dog try and destroy it or rip parts of off. Our first Jolly brand ball was purchased over 2 years ago and it has thousands of bite puncture holes in it. My dog bites this ball hard and will repeatedly crush it in their mouth like it is chewing gum. They will bite down and shake heir head and it has held up extremely well, way beyond my expectations. There are a few spots where their molars have cut a slot and I think the balls will eventually fall apart when more of these gashes align to form very large tears.Watch out if you buy any similar ball that is not a Jolly brand ball (which are made in the USA). Many generic knock off balls have many horrible stories where dogs wore down their teeth to little nubs using the knock off balls. I think the knock off balls had something abrasive in the plastic, and the pictures in the reviews showed horrible dental issues.

We love this. The kids and I can play football with the dogs and not have to be concerned about them tearing up the ball. Bought every one from Nerf. They are small and not durable. This one is kid-sized and super durable. Bought another one just in case this one gets lost.

Good option to change it up from a predictable round ball
My dog is obsessed with the hard Jolly Egg, but sheâs been clattering it around me on the patio when Iâm trying to let her play outside while I work from home (and probably annoying our neighbors with the noise), so we needed a replacement. I like this one much better- it doesnât clatter so I can work outside and toss it with her while on a call- and she likes it well enough, but it doesnât capture her heart like the Jolly Egg did. Itâs a good option if you have a dog that likes to chase slightly larger balls around and wants the unpredictability of a non-round shape. Not sure if sheâs actually fully punctured it yet, but she can get her teeth into it and bring it to me without it losing its shape

Not for chewers!
We love the jolly balls in our house, they usually last for months on end and stay inflated. I have a Belgium Malinois and a pit mix, and our Belgium loves to fetch these bigger balls or play in the pool with them. I was so excited about the football, had it in my saved for later for weeks before buying it. I finally did, it arrived this morning, and two hours later half of the ball is missing. Iâm not sure if this is thinner or just that the shape allowed for destructive chewing, but we will stick with the soccer balls going forward. Sad day for my wallet and the dogs without a new toy

Good product
This ball has some give but quickly continues to return to shape, if you were to just sit and let a strong chewing on it. I am sure they would get pieces to come off over time. But its made to be an interactive toy! And if used as so, I believe this would last a long time. My Labs like that it gives, it’s not too heavy. Could be a touch softer but its not too bad and one of the, if not the best dog football I have found. It breaks in more over time I have found. I would and have bought this again.

Great fun for you and your pup!
It’s quite literally Chaandji’s favorite toy. She’s a 10 month old American Bully who loves to catch balls- or at least she enjoys running away with the football like she just made the winning touchdown. She may actually think the game is to keep the ball away from me.The football bounces unpredictably compared to the Jolly soccer ball so it keeps her guessing. It doesn’t seem to hold up as well as the soccer ball, but it is easier to throw and kick in a small area.Ours is now full of teeth punctures but still works great. It can handle a lot of chewing, but it is NOT a chew toy. It is hollow and if collapsed you can squeeze it back into shape and resume the fun!

Not for a strong chewer
It looked and felt like a decent dog toy but not for a strong chewer. It lasted less than a few minutes with my Cane Corso. However, I can see it being a great toy for smaller dogs and ones that don’t insist on destroying toys.

I have been searching for a ball to throw at the park in the snowy winter with my dog and this is it! In the summer, we throw a tennis ball, but now with the snow, the tennis ball or chuckit ball will get lost. This ball doesnt sink too far into the snow and is big and bright enough for the dog to locate it. This football is the perfect size for my lab to retrieve and I also still get a good throw in. It has good weight and can hold a spiral and doesn’t get taken by the wind or air resistance so it can go pretty good. It is also durable enough to punt. As long as your dog doesn’t continuously chew it, it will last in the cold weather.
