I got the 4 foot leash in red. Perfect for my 28 lb puppy and it will be good as she gets older. I like the size of the clasp, which works smoothly. It’s a nice leash but my puppy kept biting it while we walked and the nylon started to fray. I used my sewing machine darning stitch to strengthen the frayed parts and it seems to be holding up. It has great reflective stripes for night walks. I’ll be getting another one once the leash biting isn’t an issue.

WORKS WELL ON A TRAINED DOG
Whenever I purchase anything on Amazon, the first thing I do is look at all of the 1 and 2 star reviews. What I’m actually checking, is to see if the same complaints come up on a product over and over again. This is a good indication that there is a potential problem. Usually, this makes me just scroll on and look for something else. But in this case, I could tell that these leashes might actually work well for me, as my dogs are A: trained to not pull on a leash, B: They are taught that they are not allowed to be reactive to other dogs, squirrels and other stimuli, putting overdue stress on a leash, and C: They are trained to come while off leash so if this leash should break, my dog is not in danger. IF you are someone who trains to these standards, these are great leashes! If not, you might want to continue your search for a very strong leash mostly based on some of the reviews.I can’t attest to durability yet, but the two leashed that I got seem to be very sturdy. The reflective thread is on BOTH sides of my leases. There have been complaints that this is not always the case so I’m not sure that everyone who orders this leash is actually getting the same thing.As for the complaints that your dog chewed through this leash…any dog can chew through any leash if you allow it. The only dogs that get a free pass on this are puppies who have not yet developed impulse control and who have not been taught to leave their leashes alone. Adult dogs should know better through good training.The handles on these leashes are very comfortable. I will continue to use them until/unless there is a reason to stop. But right now, for a well trained dog, I would recommend this product.

The Joytale Dog Lease for Large Dogs is a excellent product and a great value! We put it to work right away. The materials are top quality. I purchased the 1 inch width. The handel is padded, which is comfortable. It has another padded handle about a foot our from the clip. This is very handy when I feel I need to have more control of my dog in certain situations. I am dealing w/a big puppy at the moment in very early stages of training. One of the best features is the double stiching. It glowes in the dark which is a huge saftey feature. I bought it in purple. It is very easy to use and I feel very substantial. Would buy again.
