Easy to clean
I like that it is easy to clean because other bottles are very difficult to clean. It’s easy enough for my 8-year-old to take care of herself. The one thing I do dislike is when it is filled all the way, it does detached from the holder and falls on the floor and leaks everywhere. We have found that only filling it halfway eliminates that problem.

These were a great solution. They’re top-filled and the construction of the bottles themselves is very sturdy. There are a few issues I’ve had with the design though. First, the holster that holds the bottle to attach to the animal pen can be a little loosey-goosey. That’s okay, just add a rubber band and the bottle stays up fine — but then the rubber band is constantly squeezing the bottle, which eventually creates a leak … so maybe not so good. About a month ago, I had to take one of the three I purchased out of commission on a day that Mama drank a whole lot, then continued being thirsty and somehow pried the entire metal pipe they drink from away from the bottle itself. Then, last night, same thing, only I can’t even find the metal spigot that carries the water from the bottle to the guinea pig mouth. Mama’s sons ate the second bottle (basically). The third one is still in their fathers’ cage with him. I don’t know if he’s just more gentle, or it’s luck, or only one guinea pig using it so it stays fuller longer. Long story not any shorter, they’re good, but best to use for only one pet in one pen at a time. Also, you may want another solution than what they’re provided to mount it to the pen. That being said, maybe find a better one .. altogether? You be the judge; they are excellently priced for at least a tryout!

These leak BADLY!!!!
I read the reviews before purchasing two of these for my two rats, and I noticed that there were many people who had a problem with the bottles leaking. I did notice that there were also many people who had success, so in my view I had a 50/50 shot at getting good bottles that wouldn’t leak. If these were plain run-of-the-mill bottles like all the rest, no way would I have ordered these, but the top-fill feature is what really sold me! With my previous bottles, I hated having to refill them because it was SUCH a pain taking them out of the cages each time. With these, I loved the idea of not having to take the bottles out of the cages every time, only having to fill them once every couple days since they hold so much more water than other bottles, AND not even having to remove the bottles from the side of the cage in order to fill them. These 3 features are what convinced me to try these. It is a great idea but in this case, poor execution. These bottles leak constantly. From the very first day, they both leaked continuously until about 1/4 full, then stopped. So no matter how full I would fill them, they would only be 1/4 full by the next day and the bedding under the bottles would be soaking wet. So I figured well, at least I still have the convenience of only having to lift a small lid to fill them, even if I have to do it every day. They worked this way for a few months, then one of them stopped holding any water at all! I would fill it 1/4 full as usual, then it would be completely empty by the next day. Ugh!! Needless to say, I will never be ordering these bottles again. If you purchase one, I hope you have better luck with it than I did!

Probably one of the best bottles I’ve owned
Have had no problems with leaking whatsoever. It attaches to the outside of the cage only, and there’s a rubber lid sort of thing on the top that allows you to fill it by pouring water in without needing to remove the bottle at all, which is convenient. The first time I filled it up, I filled it up too high, though, and it leaked out of the lid a very tiny little bit. But after that, I’ve been filling it and stopping at the lid, and I’ve had no leaking problems at all. Holds a good amount of water, too.

We purchased 2 bottles for our guinea pigs and we love them….easy to fill….oddly enough we ordered a 32 oz bottle for our other 2 pigs who share a cage and what a mess…it has leaked and flooded their cages….what a mess….and a waste of bedding material….we have asked for a refund…and will probably go back to their old bottles they never leaked….maybe its the size, the 32 oz is a pretty big bottle…and I am afraid it might even fall off that holder too…Needless to say we are very disappointed in the bigger size, I would not bother with it…..its a mess….

Disappointing product
Awful product. Broke the second day I used it with my one, old, calm guinea pig. Put it back together three times, but the problem was with the entire outer sleeve of the metal drinking part falling off, and the rotating metal ball would fall out with it – so, the metal ball would be somewhere in his cage for me to find before he choked on it, and the water would all leak out (who knows how much water he actually got to drink). Really disappointed, I normally trust this company. Didn’t save the packaging to return it and couldn’t find all the parts, so I just threw it away.

Can’t hold it’s own weight.
I bought this for use with my Parakeets and their cage. This thing is huge, much larger than I expected and the fault on underestimating the size totally falls on me. Other users that say it leaks are correct, but this only seems to be apparently immediately after use and eventually stops within a few minutes.The real flaw however, at least in my case, is that this simply does not seem to be able to support its own weight when full attached to my particular cage, your results may vary. I ended up adding some extra support underneath it to try and relieve some of the stress from the weight, and fill it less. Thankfully small birds aren’t heavy drinkers so this is not a huge issue. Its not a bad product as long as you are aware of the cons upfront and are willing to work around them, but I feel it could be better.

Bought this before I found the smaller ones. These ones are big and bulky and if it falls down the water falls out with it. There is only a little peace of plastic flap that holds water in.

Was awesome in concept, loved the clip feature and top load… but had to give it 1 star bc it leaked heavily, as in within 5 hrs an entire full bottle leaked into the cage.
