Way exceeds expectations!
There is a distinct two-class system for cots: ultralights and ultra-heavys. This item is easily in the ultralight camp, so is suitable for camping without breaking your back or taking up a ton of packing room. Seriously, in general cots jump from sub-five pounders to well over 25 lbs. But does this lightweight hold up? Surprisingly well! it is low to the ground and easy setup with four sets of “feet” which hold the side tubes apart. All structural tubes have elastic cord to hold the pieces together, but break down to fit into a very compact package. The foot braces have a release mechanism for snapping into place and removal. Warning: the snapping into place takes some hand/arm strength and tightens the cot to very high tension. During my first setup, I was worried that this tension would make the cot too stiff or rip the fabric, but the outcome is actually quite comfortable and it doesn’t wobble like many larger cots I’ve tried. This is the only cot I have found with the elastic straps for securing an extra mat (e.g. thermarest), which I think would contribute to even more comfort and thermal protection. Finally, I am 6’0″ and the length is great for me – no hanging-off feet!!! I don’t know why the blue cot was offered for almost $40 off the other colors, but if you can get this model cot (in any color) for less than $100, it is very much worth the money.P.S. While the postings show several adults standing on the cot to demonstrate its strength, my cot did not survive my idiot 9-yo son who wanted to use it as a trampoline with a friend. This product is NOT A TRAMPOLINE.

High quality, compact and lightweight. Always have a comfortable night’s sleep, wherever your travels lead you!
I wanted to replace an old, very noisy camping cot. This cot attracted me because it’s compact and light weight qualities opened up a lot of possibilities. I find it meets my needs very capably. It sets up and dismantles quickly (less than 5 min.) and easily (after watching the youtube video, which makes it so simple and clear), it is quiet and very comfortable to sleep on, and altho the 4 lbs doesn’t feel as light in reality as it did in my imagination, it will still be possible to take this along on more distant travels. I’m not sure how I will carry it for air travel as I’d prefer not to check luggage, but this may not pass the carry on standards….I will likely be willing to check a small bag thru that contains this and my pad and bag. I will bring it everywhere so I can always have a comfortable bed wherever I travel! I am very happy with my purchase!

compact, light, very comfortable
Spencer Aircraft resold these for a few years in their pilot shop for a much higher price, this year they didn’t list them on their website so I bought this before leaving for Airventure. This has the exact same aluminum and plastic structure, slightly different fabric sleeping surface and storage bag. It’s the same level of comfort, and I expect it to last as long. We only use it once a year, for a week at a time, so unless something unusual happens I expect it to last several years. Great price, easy to setup/take down, very compact in its storage bag. much preferable to sleeping on foam pads or therm a rest pads. if you’re over 250lb, use some kind of pad on top, you might bottom out the fabric on the support bars and get a minor bruise across your back. this isn’t a flaw in design, just at the outer limit of usability. still more comfortable to sleep on than pads on the ground.

Nice for the price
Like the weight and size, I am around 200 lbs and used it a couple nights in a row camping. The legs snap into place well but take a lot of force to snap them into place and also to take it back apart. The only other issue i noticed is when it took it apart the poles on the sides were bent down a little in the very center (around where your waist would go). would be nice if they added another support for the center but good product for the price, however not sure about the durability over time.

Difficult assembly, but my 10 yr old liked it
The hotel we were staying at didnât have a cot so we purchased this in a pinch for my 10 yr old daughter. I didnât think the directions were all that great. There were just pictures, and they didnât get into how much force was needed to snap the legs in between the long bars. I returned to the Amazon page for this product, to see if there was an assembly video. The video is extremely deceiving. The woman very easily snaps the legs into place. I gave it a shot, and thought for sure I was doing something wrong. (Iâm very handy, and I have assembled 1000 pieces of furniture.) Once I got my husband involved, I watched him struggle as he applied so much force that I thought for sure he was going to break it. In the end, we did not break the product assembling it, and my daughter thought it was quite comfortable. It served its purpose, but I would not buy this again due to the assembly issues. I have a feeling it wonât last very long.

Super pleased with this camp bed. It has made the world of difference to my camping sleep quality. I didn’t want to pay the big bucks for the high end market leader and based on others recommendations went for this one.Very well made indeed with quality materials throughout. It does take a bit of beef to assemble and the instructions are a little lacking but there is an excellent assembly/disassembly video on you tube if you look for it. Recommended.
