Here’s how to keep it from leaking!
I got two of these water bottles and was disappointed when both leaked. I was just about to put them in the recycling bin when I read a review of a different water bottle. The reviewer said you should fill the bottle completely, squeeze it until some water squirts out, then hang it in the cage. I tried it with these bottles, and no more leaking! They really should put that in the instructions! 😉

Manufacturer Defect, Leaks
There is a manufacturer defect with head of this bottle. I followed the instructions and all recommendations to the T. The issue is that the ball does not make full contact with the end of the tube which causes it to leak. I even made sure it was 100% level and everything.For me though it dosnt matter. I bought this bottle for the 16oz size of the bottle. I had a 32oz bottle and when I switched cage set ups, it did not fit so i needed a 16oz size bottle. Luckily they make all the head threads on these bottles the same size so I was able to just switch out the heads of the bottles and no muss no fuss.I do however suggest that the manufacturer take a closer look at the design and improve or they will continue to have issues selling these or at least have a high return ration and customer dissatisfaction rate.

This is the best water bottle I have ever had. It doesn’t leak and my guinea pig gets enough water. I have had it for over a year now and it has worked perfectly. I am very satisfied with this product and would highly recommend it.

not that bad
when it falls over it leaks once or twice or maybe three times and mine came in not the right color or design so I was pretty mad about that but otherwise it is good . ps. when it falls over my guinea pig can still drink from it !!!!!!!!! but that doesn’t make it not leak 2 or 3 times or sometimes 1 time !!!!!!! but over all that it is still good to use !!!!!!!!!!

Works Great for Guinea Pig
I agree with other reviewers that this works better than any other water bottle, with one caveat. This bottle does not leak and it’s a great size. Every other bottle I’ve tried leaks. I did buy a couple Super Pet flat-back clear glass water bottles for the springy cords they come with. The bottles leaked and I couldn’t get the nozzle to face the right way for my guinea pig to easily access the water, but the hanging system is perfection. I use the spring cord and holder from the Super Pet bottle on an Oasis 16-oz. bottle. Finally, I am happy with how a water bottle works.

has hung for 5 hours and cage soaked
I received my bottle today along with the rest of my equipment and went and brought home my guinea pigs. It has been hanging about 5 hour now and my floor is totally saturated. I have moved the bedding around several times to help it dry and keep my girls feet dry and it continues to drip. Since I read all the reviews and everyone says this bottle does not leak, I must have a faulty one.Update 3/16/2013: Second time I filled the bottle, I put a small pan underneath to catch the drips. When I returned from work, the bottle was completely empty and the little pan full of water. I washed the bottle and filled it one more time. Other than a few initial drips after filling it, this time it has not dripped at all. In fact, I check it continuously because I am not sure if my babies are even able to get water out because the water level is going down so slowly. They are still very young (only 9 and 11 ounces) which from everything I have read suggest they re only 6 or 7 weeks so I guess they don’t need a lot to drink yet.

The water bottle we bought for our guinea pig at the pet store has leaked slightly since the day we got it – but lately it had gotten much worse and we were finding it empty almost every day. Aside from worrying about the guinea pig not having water in her bottle, the bedding in her cage was getting completely soaked and it was a total mess! After reading many reviews, I decided to try this water bottle and so far it has been fantastic. As other reviewers have stated, if you don’t fill it to the very top it does leak – but once we figured this out, we have found that it doesn’t even drip. The clear plastic makes it easy to check the water level at a glance, and the hanger holds the bottle securely in place. The only possible issue I can see is that the bottle we were sent was clear with blue writing and a black cap, not the green that was pictured, so it looks like the color you get might vary. We didn’t care about that, but some people might. Overall we are very happy to have a nice dry cage for our piggie again!

No drip drip ?! false it does drip drip
I bought this product to replace my 1 week old dripping water bottle, it this one has better ratings than an of the other bottles as a non dripping one, well it did drip shortly after my chinchilla started using it !! I think the ball mechanism is flawed and will eventually start dripping no matter what, a company needs to come up with something innovative for a change instead of copying each other all the time…. long story short, this watter bottle drips like any other one, it’s nothing special ….

The best small pet water bottles on the market by far.Hard to find in Canada, but absolutely worth it. They’ll outlast others and save you money in the long run.Clean regularly inside and out, and it’s always best not to buy a colored bottle.Clear bottles make it easy to see both the level of the water, and visually verify that it hasn’t been left too long and become gross inside, far too easy with colored bottles and kids.

It’s a good water bottle. Better than the others I’ve tried. It’s not perfect because sometimes it keeps the seal and other times I find the water bottle has leaked and the cage floor is completely wet. But the trucks I’ve learned are…to keep the seal so the water doesn’t leak out, fill it completely to the top until the water creates a curved bubble that slightly protrudes from the opening before putting on the spout and always keep the bottle full. It looses it’s seal as the water reaches the halfway mark.
