Great brand, great customer support
Great brand and even better customer service! Made my standard poodle and I very happy – purchased 2 pairs of their boots over the past 6 years and most recently was easily able to exchange a pair when they were too big, they even told me to donate that big pair so I donât have to deal with shipping them back and I get to help another doggie! Wonderful!

Not for every leg length
I hated to return these. The product is extremely well made and perfect for paw protection in the winter. For my Corgi, there simply was not enough leg to pull the shoes on. He did not shirk at the attempt, but the size appropriate for his paw diameter made the shoe travel half way up his leg. A shame — but just not right for this breed.

Fitted, tall enough and paw-shaped
These socks are a nice medium weight material. They feel well constructed and have nice features like the tab to pull them on. My dog is 50lbs (ideal weight) and wears 2.5â off-brand shoes. The size medium is just right to stay on with no extra toe fabric, without constricting. The socks easily go on her feet. Her shoes glide right on over the socks. The socks feel secure within the shoe, and come up high enough on her legs that Iâm not worried about them falling off. They also seem like theyâll stay up without shoes on, though they donât have any grippers so might be slippery by themselves. Her back feet are a bit smaller than her front feet, but the socks fit well on both. I havenât walked her in these yet, so Iâm not sure how theyâll stay up when in motion, but I think theyâll work. If youâre wondering if kidâs socks would be a cheaper alternative, Iâve tried it for you, and I wouldnât recommend it. Even with grippers, kidâs socks are a bit slippery, too much fabric around the toes, and too loose around the ankle. The dogâs back feet are smaller so the kidâs socks can be pulled higher and donât fall down when walking. But on the front feet, the kidâs socks fall and bunch up inside the shoe. I also compared these to ruffwear brand dog socks, which are too short and have too much fabric in the toe area. Stick with Kurgo dog socks!

Fantastic boots! + some tips
OVERALL: First, I have to say that these doggy boots are amazingly high quality. They sure are heavy duty. My girl walked in water, mud, dry spiky bushes, and the boots still look as if I just took them out of the box. Paws stayed dry.CUSTOMER SERVICE : Kurgo’s customer service is superb. Because of sizing issues, they sent me size extra small for the rear paws at NO EXTRA CHARGE. I was truly shocked and just loved how much they cared for my girl’s comfort!TIPS AND WARNINGS: Okay, I know a lot of people buy dog boots to help protect the paws. This is exactly what they’re for. However, you need to know, just like with our own shoes, that dogs need to break theirs in as well. There’s no way around it. You might notice little sores developing by their dew claws, but DON’T PANIC. People seriously exaggerate when they say boots hurt their dogs. We suffer from blisters too when jumping into new Vans and trying to skate in them right away. Again, be patient.Make sure you start with short walks first, and keep doing that until boots become softer. Don’t take your dog out on a hike right away because that’s just irresponsible. Help them get used to the booties. It’ll be okay! Also, SIZING is quite an issue. I first ordered size medium because my husky mix has a paw width of 2.6. Size medium was WAY OFF. She kept tripping, and the boots looked very creased, like there was just too much room around toes. I took the leap of faith and exchanged to size small, and they fit like a glove. When between sizes, go for the smaller size, trust me.SCORE: So far, for me, it’s a 10/10. Dry paws, comfort, great design, and durability. I’ll definitely post an update later.

Way too big
The large size socks are close to human-sized socks. This is way too big for my Labrador. If you’re ordering the socks, I suggest you size down from whatever size you are thinking of ordering. Otherwise, I do like how it’s a long sock and the material seemed consistent with human socks, I just wish they weren’t so gigantic.

Way too small
These were way too small and tight for my 65 lb dog. Toddler socks worked better.

Didn’t work when dog was running.
The boots are made for walking, or running according to the box. With my dog, not so much. They stayed in place fine when we were walking, but I live in an area where I take my dog daily through a canyon off leash where he’s free to run around to his heart’s content. When he did that, the boots would slip down to the point he began tripping, moreso on the front paws (about an inch) than the back (half inch or so). If I tightening them more, they would stay in place but his sprints would be short lived and he would drop to the ground and start biting at them and when he would walk again he’d be limping – basically, too tight and or a pinch point. They seem to work great for other people but for my 90 pound bundle of energy and love not so much.

Well made shoes
Today my 80lb Drahthaar used these shoes for chukar hunting over rough mountain terrain and to my surprise passed the test. Previously I had Ruffwear Summit Trex shoes, which ripped out for one time hunting day, but these without any evidence of damage. In addition, manufacturer provides Lifetime warranty, which means that product quality should be good and I confirm this.

Both my boys have sensitive feet and use dog boots yeat round. Like for humans, the dog shoes are better worn with socks to prevent shafing and wick moisture. I used to use Ruffwear liner socks but I cannot find those in Canada any longer so I am super happy to have found these Kurgo socks! They fit really well and look comfy! I highly recommended them! I wish Kugo would make smaller sizes too an also at least 2 different colours so that I can differentiate which socks belong to each of my dogs. All in all, I am very pleased with the Kurgo socks and will be ordering more soon!

Quand je m’amuse dans maison avec elle je lui mets les pattes arrières pour l’empêcher de déraper et d’empirer sa mini-dysplasie ! C’est super ! Moins d’inquiétude !
