Exact replacement!
I added two of these to our Jayco Seismic toy hauler patio side deck which is heavy and awkward to close because of its height off the ground. There were spaces to add to more springs. Installation was easy but required âVega Rv bitsâ purchased on Amazon to remove 2 set screws and a Torx bit with the center hole to remove hinges. The âLippertâ springs are an exact match. Although I didnât get the exact results I was looking for (reduced weight and ease of opening and closing) I may have to use the Lippert medium duty springs to get the desired results.

Great heavy duty spring. Will buy again
I have two on my 5×6 ramp door made out of 1 1/2 square tubing, 1/8 wall, and 1/2 treated plywood. Springs work great, fit perfectly. The paint seems to be very heavy duty and scratch resistant. Now door is very easy to lift with one hand. I would say ramp weighs about 120-150 pounds.Very happy I plan on ordering more for the side ramp on my enclosed trailer.

Hard to figure out how to install
There are not good instructions on how to do this that I could find. I thought I had to remove the silver cap on the end of the hinge rod and then move the hinge rod back and forth to replace springs. I asked the question here and someone helped me realize the hinge end caps are attached to the outside hinges. So to remove/replace the springs you remove the hinges gradually down from the end (with the ramp door up and latched). The reassemble putting the springs back on using the new springs. I replaced the three on the left side this way. If I wanted to replace the ones on the right I would do the same, removing hinges and springs starting on the end from the right side. For me the three I replaced seems to have solved the problem. Door is definitely lighter. Actually I removed two old ones and put three new ones since there was no spring in the slot in the middle.

Easy install
Very easy to install, hope it makes the door lighter when opening/closing

Heavy Duty
I bought these not knowing whether I needed the light duty springs or the medium duty springs. My TH door has two broken springs. These medium springs are beefier that my light duty springs on my Fuzion Chrome TH. I have not put them on yet but expect to reduce the number of light duty springs still working on the ramp door to accommodate them.
