THE PERFECT SIZE: The 8oz bottle is designed for Small Birds, Mice, Hamsters, Gerbils and other small animals. Not all pets need the same amount of water. For the 8oz we use a 5/16 inch tube that is large enough to accommodate the water needs of the pets noted above.
VACUUM SEAL: Lixit bottles work by forming a vacuum to hold the water inside. It is important to fill the bottle all the way to the top and ensure the cap is on tight to prevent leaking. Some dripping when the bottle is first turned over is normal.
QUALITY STAINLESS STEEL: Our tubes are made of the same 304 grade stainless steel in food preparation. We polish our tubes until they have the same satin finish that is found in quality silverware. Each tube is hand coned on the end to ensure that it has a smooth tip that will not harm your pet.

Nice quality and sturdy! Doesnât leak
Very nice quality! Itâs a good size and the glass is sturdy. It is easy to twist on the spout. At first I was confused because it kept leaking however, you have to fill the bottle almost all the way and then flip it over to let the air bubbles come up. Otherwise, there could be leaking! Make sure to do this and it will work. I didnât use the cage attachment rather I attacked it to my bin cage with industrial velcro and it has held up nicely.

Hard glass and not chewable
The easy to refill and easy to attach bottle is vary convenient, itâs larger size makes for less refills. I have also not had any spills or leaks and the solid glass bottle makes it impossible for my squirrel to chew through. Altogether this is a great and inexpensive product.

My birds like it. It has a nice cap seal and the little thingy that lets the water out doesnât leak.Itâs also simple to hang and wash.

It Leaks
Purchased for my parrots to have so I they wouldnât have ample clean water when I went on out of town and as soon as I hung the bottle on the side of the first cage it began to leak. I had the bottle hung where it would drip into my girls water bowl and not down into her cage but a leak is a leak and if Iâm hanging 2-3 of these on her cage this is unacceptable. Fifteen minutes later I removed the bottle because there was too much water loss and I wonât feel comfortable leaving my bird for a couple of days with a leaking water bottle, sheâll run out of water in less than 8hrs. Iâm going to have to do a return

Good size
The glass is thick and there’s no spilling. So it does its job but the cord that it came with it does not hold the bottle up once it’s filled with water. The bottle is way too heavy.

Wonderful
I got this for a puppy that I have who loves to swim in her water bowl making a mess of my kitchen and her travel pen. She loves it. And so do I. It didnât take any time for her to figure it out. Thinking about getting a second one because she wonât share it with her brother âï¸She lays under it and growls at him if he tries to get to it. The bottle is great!!!! No dripping either.

Water for the wildlife!!!
I have an 8x 10 building and I recently discovered I had a hutch full of baby bunnies, I discovered them while weedeating around the building and all of a sudden 12 tiny bunnies ran in every direction. I was able to hold 2 of them because my pups each cornered one, it was a great opportunity to see the wildlife in my own back yard. I set out water in little bowls but felt like they were turning the bowls over and not getting enough water so I ordered this bottle. The only issue was it didn’t come with a brace or something to hang it so the bunnies could drink from it, so I took my bottle to Lowe’s and one of the employees there helped me find a fitting to attach to the bottle and I was able to screw it the outer wall of the building I have and now the bunnies are drinking water because every 2 days it needs to be refilled. Love this item and all the joy it brings to the bunnies.

Leaky bottle…
I decided to purchase a glass bottle for my new hamster because my old hamster used to knock her (light) plastic one around and get water all over her cage.This arrived quickly and I loved how heavy it was and that it attached to the outside of the cage.Unfortunately, the very next day when I refreshed the water and replaced it in the cage, it started dripping non-stop. I ended up placing it at a weird angle with the wires holding it around the neck of the bottle just to keep it from leaking and hold us over until I could get a new bottle which was a very bad idea. The bottle ended up falling on our tile floor and shattering (this obviously isn’t the seller/manufacturer’s fault- I just thought I should mention it in case someone else came up with this “genius” plan).What you should know:1. This part was a non-issue for me but when I received the bottle, the labeling said it was a water bottle for birds.2. My bottle started leaking on the second day.3. The wire that comes with the bottle does not hold the bottle snugly. As long as you use it correctly it shouldn’t fall or anything but it will definitely slide around. If you really want the bottle to not budge, I suggest you get an extra piece of wire to hold it against your cage. However, if you like to provide fresh water every day like I do, this may be a tedious set-up.From reading other positive reviews, I think I may have just been unlucky in receiving a leaky bottle. However, I wouldn’t purchase the bottle again because of the wire issues that I mentioned above.If you’re interested…I put a small dish of water in my hamster’s cage as a temporary solution until I could get a new water bottle and it ended up being the perfect set-up for us! Since she’s housed in a Super Pet My First Home for Pet Rats, I just put a little dish of water next to her food on the upper tier of the cage. It stays clean, she doesn’t spill it, and it’s easy for me to replace it with a fresh dish of water every day.

My hamster was chewing his bottle so much he was getting his cage wet. I was searching high and low for a good bottle this would not happen with, and this is the one! My hamster had lots of toys to chew on and still does. But now, thankfully, he does not chew on his bottle and it does not leak!

Works as expected. It does leak a bit but better then most Iâve tried. I found it a bit difficult to hang on the cage with what was supplied but was able to rig something up.
