Customers say
Customers like the ease of filling and quality of the water bottle. They mention it can be easily filled from the outside of the cage and the top opening is wide. However, some customers have reported that the product leaks and the water level is too low. They also dislike the value for money and have mixed opinions on its functionality and build quality.

Great bottles but expensive
Compared to most bottles this one is expensive and does not last very long. It will crack and leak within a year. The only plus is the lid piece because it makes it easy to fill for rabbits

Do not buy this water bottle
I got this water bottle for three reasons:1) It is advertised no leak.2) It is large for a rabbit: 32oz would last a rather long time without having to refill it.3) It is top fill for more convent filling. The only good thing I have to say about this water bottle is how sturdy it is on the cage. It does not slip away from the clip. Once it is in place, it shouldn’t go anywhere. With that being said, the top fill part of the water bottle has a flap that you can lift up or you can lift the whole purple part up to put water in it. Well, the flap won’t shut once it has been opened, so whenever you take the water bottle off the cage for whatever reason, water goes everywhere. Then, the bottom of the purple part leaks if you fill the bottle to the top. The other thing I was disappointed in was how hard it was for my bunny to drink. At nine weeks old, she was perfectly weened and drinking out of a normal water bottle at the breeders’. Once she got home, she had no idea how to use this. The lever I guess perplexed her and made it hard for her to drink. Needless to say, I had to create a make-shit water dish until the new one I ordered came in. Lastly, this water bottle says no drip- the first reason I purchased it. I don’t know if it leaks, and if it does I don’t know where the leak is coming from (could be the screw on top or the drinking contraption), or if the lever inside of the bottle is so strong, when the rabbit decides to drink, it spews everywhere. I read in some other reviews of that happening on different products. Needless to say, I don’t care how water is coming out, but it continually soaked the cage. When I say soaked I mean puddles of water under the bottle, and no, paper and bedding do not absorb it- too much coming out. Very disappointed, wish I could get a refund.

First time trying out this brand after numerous failed attempts with previous brands
I debated for about two days whether or not I should yet spend the money on another water bottle to find out that it leaks as I cannot begin to tell you the numerous amount of times this has been happening to me lately. Even though it says drip-free that doesn’t really mean anything now it is so you can’t depend on that in the description by any means. However I have had it for months now and can say this is the only water bottle that I’ve ever had that has not ripped want. It does have a different type of design and has more like a little pin at the end versus a ball but the way I look at it is that it does not drip anymore and because of that I am satisfied with it and would recommend this to anyone looking for something that is currently dripping on them which seems to be every other water bottle nowadays

The Wide Flip Top Allows for Adding Ice
I love this water bottle for many reasons. I initially bought this about five six years ago when the female rabbit I had then took to ripping off the metal sipper part of every water bottle I tried. I don’t know how she did it but she did. With this water bottle she was not able to or did not want to get the metal sipper part off. This has a silent metal rounded pin (not sharp) instead of a noisy ball bearing and it may look a little crude but really it isn’t. I touched my finger to it and you barely have to move it to get the water out. I have two baby holland lops and I purchased two water bottles a glass ball bearing one that I purchased while waiting for this one to arrive (I purchased the lixit from an independant seller on Amazon no Prime). Now that I have both of them I left both up to see which one they preferred and they took to the lixit one and are drinking even more water. I also like this one because it can be easily filled from the outside of the cage and the top is wide enough that in the hot days of summer ice can be added to it to keep the water cool. It is easy to install just screw on the plastic holder. I really like the way the water bottle adjusts height. The bottle itself has plastic raised rings that the holder slides between. I have a double decker wooden/wire cage and with the traditional water bottles I could only adjust the height of the water bottle by moving the metal holder, this made it so the water bottle was either too low so the bunnies had trouble drinking from it or was too high and the bottle interfered with the door opening above, and the bunnies had trouble drinking from it, I had to devise my own holder to make it work. With this bottle you attach the holder and then can adjust the bottle to the needed height. (needs a wire cage, this would not work in a glass tank with the holder provided). And unlike other water bottles that have to be completely filled to the top to get a good seal or else it will leak this one does not. These have never leaked for me.Pro’sQuietWide top for easy cleaning and adding icePsycho bunny proofCan Be mounted outside the cageDoes not leakEasy to fillHeight is easy to adjustCon’sIt’s PlasticWould be difficult to install in a glass tankThe plastic holder could be sturdier, it might break if bottle is forced into it

Leaks when the guinea pigs drink (but not otherwise)
The bottle doesn’t leak by itself, I want to make that clear. And I love the top opening for easy filling, and the height adjustment with the different ridges. My struggle is that when my guinea pigs drink, they move the lever a little to let water come out, and lick to get what they can. But while they’re doing that, water dribbles out the bottom the whole time they have the lever moved and are drinking. After a couple hours of being in the cage, a fresh drip pad is SOPPING wet. It’s like someone just poured half the bottle on the pad. I assume that if the piggies developed a better drinking technique, they could avoid this…but they don’t seem to care that the water drips out, so they’re not motivated to change, haha!I’m bummed, because I really wanted to love this bottle. And I do, all except for that one point which unfortunately is a deal breaker for me. I’m looking for other options, maybe a bowl that attaches to the cage (a bowl set on the floor just gets tipped over).

I have bought literally hundreds of different water bottles over the years and this is the first one i can actually say is leak free. It is not the typical ball bearing nozzle, it has a valve that releases water when it is moved side to side. YOu do have to be sure to prime it after refilling but that is easy enough to do. My guinea pigs were drinking from this immediately and the rabbits didnt take long to figure it out either. Very very happy.

Quick Lock Flip Top Water Tank With Valvez16. Very disappointed with the rabbit water bottle received today .Tried every which way to stop it leaking from round the screw on piece which joins the drinking piece on.Very shortly bottle was almost empty and the rabbit hay was soaked. Tried several more times but the same happened.Of course with advancing years it could have been my fault but am afraid I would never recommend it or buy another

So I really feel two ways about this bottle. I needed something that wouldn’t be constantly dripping in my Guinea pigs cage (I’ve two Guinea pigs) and I’ve purchased a few different bottles over the last two years, including a glass one, but they all ended up dripping. I read the reviews about this bottle and was delighted that finally their cage bedding wouldn’t be soaked and it would be more hygienic for them both and not smelly in my home. However, while they taught themselves how to use it, probably not properly, I feel it squirts out too much water at a time, so their bedding is still wet and because of this I’m having to refill it every day, sometimes twice a day and now they need to be bathed more and the cage being cleaned more often.

Purchased for our two guinea pigs. This is the first bottle I’ve owned that doesn’t leak! We actually just purchased a second bottle for our rabbit as well. I like the filling feature. You don’t need to remove the whole bottle from the cage in order to fill it. Easy to install and my kids have no problem adding water to it. The pigs easily adjusted to drinking from it as there is no ball at the end of the spout, instead a thick wire they push aside while drinking. We are happy 🙂
